ISU/Scats Game Thread

The Cats' tag line should be: "Ya, the Griz beat us 10-29 last season, but we made up for that by losing 10-38 to NDSU in the championship game."

And in both cases it took a late garbage time TD to make them that close. With 7 seconds left in the Griz game. Dominated in both cases.

Mellott vs Chambers PASSING:

MELLOTT
40 of 67 (60%)
590 Yards
4 TDS
3 INTS

CHAMBERS
38 of 64 (59%)
476 Yards
5 TDS
3 INTS

Vigen said tonight that Mellott was the better runner on the perimeter, and Chambers was the better runner inside.

Vigen said Mellott will start this weekend. Chambers will play, 2 QB system will continue.

Bro, you had a Bob on here claiming that the victim not fighting back was evidence that no assault took place. Imagine thinking that was a good point to make. Apply that logic to other assaults. #scumcats disgust me.

Don't even know what a 'gris' is, but the GRIZ most certainly have a game. Fortunately it's against Idaho so we don't have to fear for the safety of the players.

I'm wrestling with the question of which is more reprehensible and deplorable: the fact that a bubcat assaulted a player on the field; the fact that neither the bubcat staff nor the league has taken appropriate punitive action; or the disgusting ways in which bubcat fans are trying to justify the player's actions.

I can now see you've shifted to the "omg I just hope this goes away because it's a terrible look for our program" aproach. Yeah, good luck with that.

I’d say the scumstaff taking no action is the most reprehensible. The league has no clue that it’s even football season.

The attempted justifications we’ve seen here from scumcat fans are pretty shocking, though. We’ve had (distilled and paraphrased):

-that’s football
-we value mean OL play
-there was no whistle
-assailant was just frustrated from getting beat
-victim didn’t fight back=no assault
-he just pushed his head down with both hands and the neck twist was an illusion

I tweeted the video to the league AND to the ‘scats official twitter account. They are aware.

Karma bit Cole sain today, who left the field with an injury at Northern Colorado. Karma sure is a bitch, Cole

I think the karma was on you today for defaming Ort and his parents and gloating over Sain’s injury. Good luck with Sac State!

Oh cry me a river you big baby. I said his parents raised a cheater, which given the trouble he’s in its a simple statement of fact.

Nah, I’m doubling down. Rylan was a cheater. It’s a statement of fact as he was taking banned substances to gain a competitive advantage, and if he indeed told his coaches what he was taking they’re complicit in his cheating too. Cole the neck twister sain was a danger to his opponents, the way he liked to twist necks after the whistle, so the big sky is a better, cleaner league with him on the sideline.

I'm pretty sure Cole Sain comes by it naturally. His dad was a really mean and nasty oline guy for the cats in the late 80's. A plus 500# bencher. A serious dude.

Some of what I said in this thread too may have crossed the line, and for that, anyone that was offended has my sincere apology. I got a bit carried away.

Your apology may be a bit late.

Well, it’s an apology nonetheless, and sincere one. To any offended, I apologize.

I’d worry more about the distasteful post more than hurting feelings, it’s not a good look. Saying it’s “karma” you basically leave it open to interpretation a college football player deserved to be hurt. That’s pretty messed up. Same thing goes for the Ortt thread. Fingers crossed they don’t decide to press charges for defamation. “Your right to swing your fist ends at my face” is a really good way to put this… I think Egris could take a breather.

However, if you truly are sorry, then good on you. We all say dumb Sh*t. Some people just double down.
