D starters Cotton, Walker and Hill were also not playing. Cotton had started the game. Fouch started in Graves spot. The TD pass scored on no. 2, the IS transfer, who has not been starter this year generally. I looked at the last drive. Hauck missed a tackle after a short pass, but didn't get beat on a pass. Yes, a traveling team can only suit up 55, I believe, in conference play, and yes the Griz substitute a lot in certain positions. Clearly, the Griz started subbing a lot earlier in the 4th quarter. Scores don't only occur against or as a result of the defense. The offense also has a role in keeping the other team from scoring. The Griz O late in the 4th Q didn't do much, or enough.
I figured this would come back to haunt me. So Walker and Hill not starting means that both of their replacements, were back-ups? And Graves coming in for Cotton makes him a "back up" even though you mention that Fouch is a "back up" when starting ahead of Graves. You are correct Fouch started for Graves, they tend to try to keep Graves out of spreads, especially play side spreads. (not a shot, just not his strength). I never said Hauck got beat on a pass, don't know what that sentence is about? I will point out that you have another post on here where you question whether Hauck even played the fourth quarter, because you didn't see his name in the play-by-play. The Griz D-line subbing pattern hasn't changed much, road or home, they are pretty consistent. They really didn't sub a lot on either O or D in the fourth quarter.
I'd be curious if you could name all the subs who played at anytime in the fourth quarter? I know, research isn't your strength, and you will come back with "do your own work". I feel like if you actually watched the games or read my posts you might be surprised with how much work I do.
