Is that the most dominating win since....

It will be interesting to see if Weber can recover from this absolute demoralizing ass whooping. Not only because of the score but also because they lost 5 of their top players to injuries. That also doesn't show up in any stat list.

agree

Good win yes, but most certainly not dominating. 3rd conversions were just 2-10, and the stats were actually in Webers favor in regards to many of them.

Special teams did very well, but without their assists and 2 big plays, this game wouldve been scary close.

Griz are also playing for seeding. A 35-3 win looks better to many than a 35-16 win. If you are an outsider, you see the boxscore and score, and dominating would not be the first thought in their mind because they never saw the game.

When the Griz win next week they'll get the #3 seed, #4 at worst. But I have no doubt you'll find something to bitch about.

it was impressive, but weebs lost too many top players early in the game (half by running into teammates) and shot themselves in the foot too many times to rank it very high on the list.

Couldn’t disagree more.

We were playing without WR#1, with a hobbled starting QB, lost Villanueva and Mallory for parts of the game, Mamula for who knows how long, etc.,etc. And yet, from the opening bell it was an epic ass beating of the #3 team in the nation. so bad that we played the 2’s and 3’s for the entire 4th quarter.

This, all day. Anyone who watched the game knows it. That was a dominating, extremely one sided ass whooping.

again, impressive win, but they were playing without their wr#1 and #2, one of best backs in the league not at full strength, and a couple top cornerbacks (who cover wr's, by the way). also, wasn't toure deemed the best wr in the big sky by this board right after the game? nobody matches the griz for wr depth. sneed sure didn't look hobbled to me, but did play it a little safer than usual. villanueva sprinted off after the injury and came right back in. mamula is good, but no olsen or lewis. had all our cbs.

you sure switch between logic and mindless fanaticism a lot, depending on the day..

Injuries happen. Part of the game. Neither team was at full strength—that’s what happens 10 games into a season. And yet, we kicked their asses. Delivered a butt whooping to a team that hadn’t lost an FCS game in 13 months. And it wasn’t even close.

In fact, dare I say it was “dominating”?

Disagree. Anyone looking at the box score would see it was 35-3 after 3 quarters. As Bobby noted in his post-game interview, Weber “drove 90 yards on our freshman to score 7.” If the Griz win next week, they get a 3 or 4 seed. They won’t go higher without a NDSU or JMU loss.

Bill Speltz: Growling Grizzlies -- Montana football team is back to being scary good

https://missoulian.com/sports/college/big-sky-conference/university-of-montana/bill-speltz-growling-grizzlies----montana-football-team/article_1ca34e87-5bb5-574f-8f10-b5f7c5a73855.html

"Big-time plays from small-town Treasure Staters and a supportive crowd that drives the opposition crazy — that's Griz football at its finest. A hard-nosed senior quarterback (Dalton Sneed) who loves George Strait music and refuses to use injuries as a crutch — that's Griz football at its finest."

"Montana's passing game was supposed to slow down with Samuel Akem sidelined by an injury Saturday. It didn't happen. Montana was supposed to have trouble scoring points against the best defense, at least statistically, in the Big Sky Conference. It didn't happen."

"The Bitterroot Bruiser, Stevensville native Jesse Sims"

"This sports writer never doubted Bobby would guide the Grizzlies back to national prominence. He just never expected the skipper from Big Timber to turn things around so soon."

In recent years you could argue whether the Griz had the on-field talent to win but to me there was no way to argue about in-game coaching. It was poor. Predictable play calling, questionable personnel decisions, etc. This year there is none of that. When the Griz lineup, I am mostly pleasantly surprised by the play calls, both offense and defense. Certainly the execution is not always there and the calls aren’t always successful but the coaches have really stepped up their game and giving the players much better chances at success.

EDIT: And that isn’t just a shot at Stitt. There is even significant progress from last year.

Weber may not have been prepared for the noise. Weber has not played in Missoula since 2015 (that was the game the Griz lost because Stitt would go for it on 4th down instead of attempting makeable field goals), so few of their players had played here before.

The news reported that they turned the loud speakers during practice to prepare.

They need bigger speakers, obviously.

just being realistic and calling it an impressive win, even very impressive, but not one of the most dominating since 2011. it is a message board. not everyone has to share your opinion, and you don't get to decide how people respond to your posts. neither do i. that's the way it works. quit being a baby.

Couldn't have said it better. Well Bobby did say it better once "wish we could have payed another quarter to kick their ass more"

Name three more dominating wins over a top 5 team since 2011.

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

I liked Stitt's potential, but he disappointed in the execution. I would say that Stitt did a good job recruiting, but Bobby has done a great job in developing.
