Is EWU Best in Basketball Too?

I guess the answer to that question is a resounding no.

So playing devil's advocate, but I don't think it is a "resounding" no or maybe even no. Difficult to say a team with the same conference record, better overall record, and split in head-to-head games is not as good or better. For everyone that was complaining that the Griz did not get to play Sac at home, not playing NAU on the road may be the reason they are hosting over EWU.

Great to see the EAGS and griz on opposite sides of the BSC tourney bracket. Hopefully a championship game settles it.

The griz drew a tough first game against Weber. If WSU plays the griz like they played the EAGS last night, I think WSU will advance and UM will have to settle for being gracious hosts.

I think EWU drawing Idaho is not an easy assignment. And I am not sure how losing to EWU at home means they played a great game.

GRIZ and EWU each have tough 1st round matchups. I wonder who will have more fans, EWU or Idaho? Weber State has to be the most talented BSC 8th seed in conference history. They struggle to play a full game, and don't play together very well.

Weber's a good team, and no doubt a scary 8 seed. But please. They surrendered a 19 point lead in about 3 minutes on their home floor. I watched as much of that game as I could during TOs in the GRIZ game, and I didn't see world beaters. Doesn't mean they can't upset the GRIZ. But they'll have to play better than they did last night to win at Dahlberg.

Weber is a tough 8 seed but it will be much harder to beat UM in Missoula than pushing EWU to OT in Ogden.
