Lost a great leader. That will be missed. I think Jensen has skill set to keep them going, but where will the leadership come?

It is a good question AZD, but truly there are numerous players on the team that could and will fill that leadership roll. The coaches now will have to address leadership with the team and individual players. Next man up has to be the mantra (no disrespect to Reese Phillips) Jensen will be fine and this is a gigantic opportunity for him to learn, grow and flourish. I have all the respect in the world for Reese Phillips. I wish that young man nothing but success. I have a feeling he will deal well with this piece of poo that life just threw his way. Best wishes for a quick recovery.

He was turning into my favorite Griz. Loved watching his interviews, as he is an excellent interview. Seems like a great kid too. Good luck Reese! We can't wait to see you back on the sidelines with the team.

Agree with multiple points here. Young Mr. Phillips struck me as having that "it" factor to lead the team ... and I think he will remain a leader even standing on the sidelines. I mean ... who wouldn't see him as an inspiration after what he suffered for the team? And the team cohesion seems so much better now ... there will be those who will step up to translate that sideline inspiration into spirit on the field.

And ... Yes, I do believe that. There's a lot we don't understand about "leadership," but we know it when we see it.

I agree on all parts...injury AND his class as a competitor/leader etc. I really felt good about him at QB. Felt was going to be one position that was going to be solid game after game.
