It's fine to say that your favorite players are the Montana kids. Nothing wrong with that at all. And nothing inherently contradictory about it.
But some comments on this forum have suggested that being born within the imaginary border lines of Montana somehow endows a person with magical powers like integrity, character, intelligence and willingness to work hard, etc., which people born outside those imaginary lines somehow lack.
And as someone born inside those lines, I'm here to tell you that line of thinking is pure fairy dust material.
