This was truly a top notch effort in the analysis and eventual debunking of this "Championship" photo. I had the crack staff in my photo lab evaluate the photo and they uncovered some more "easter eggs" in the photo.

In the left hand side of the photo, the gentleman in white is of course the world renowned Chef Boyardee. Standing by him is the award winning actor Charles Durning known for his memorable roles in "Dog Day Afternoon", "North Dallas Forty" and of course "Tootsie". On the right-hand side of the photo one will also recognize the long-time famous Las Vegas entertainers Steve and Edie Gourmet.

You have to hand it to LTCF for his sense of humor. I guess the joke is on us for momentarily believing there was actual photographic proof of the "championship game". It is nice to know that while we go about our lives that we have three true patriots standing guard. CV, Snap & CDA, thank you for your efforts from a grateful Griz Nation!

I found a thread on catscratchnation titled "1984 roster?" where someone asked the same question (who was #8?) and found this:

In 1983, #8 was worn by place kicker Lewis Murray. Lewis was from Billings and drowned in the Yellowstone River the summer of 1984. The team wore a black "8" on the back of the helmet during the season in memory of Lewis. I can't remember if #8 was assigned.

So to summarize, the only picture that allegedly shows the 1984 cats "championship game" also contains an 8 foot man, Chef Boyardee, a ghost, Charles Durning and singer song writers, Steve and Edie Gourmet. You can't make this shit up...
