I'll say it

You guys sure like to complain about calls when they had nearly double the penalty yards. Gris got outplayed at home… I don’t think we can blame this one on the refs

But it’s not. His first touch back in bounds was with his foot that scored the TD.

It wasn't
All of his other steps to that point were out of bounds.
They weren't

If you rewatch the play you could almost argue that he let himself go out of bounds.
Seems the officials deemed he was forced out.

The LB barely got a piece of him.
But enough to force him out.

We all agree this Griz team isn’t good. But when the game winning TD in OT is a blatant missed call by the refs. Yeah that’s a legit gripe
Ok and if the qb threw it to the guy coming across he walks into the end zone. Or if the gris d just holds up for the final drive.

Remember the bubs bitching for 19 pages on this board about the (absolutely correct) call at sdsu? Good times.

And that was just on the GRIZ BOARD!!! I can only imagine the circle jerk of whining on litterbixnation after that.

I mean, hey, at least we got legitimately fucked by the refs. You bubs were just pissed at a correct call.

I would post a pic, but if you go to the video on the first page at the 6 second mark, it is clear that his right foot is in the air and his entire left on the ground in the end zone.
Steve Shaw who was and is still the national coordinator for officials addressed this in 2022.

“A college rule that differs from the NFL on when receivers lose eligibility was reviewed. College receivers who are pushed out of bounds must reestablish with two feet in the field of play to regain eligibility.”

I've been researching this to try to find it in black and white because two feet in was also my understanding. But I haven't been able to find the written rule, so I have kept out of the argument.

Clarification on your statement, the Griz D got outplayed, the Griz offense is playing just fine. However, the one gripe call I have is the "fight" at the beginning. All of that crap goes down and they pin it all on Wilson....no.....their QB, RB, and half the O-line should have had Unsportsman-like conduct penalties. Not only that they continued their shit for the next few plays when our guys were settling down.

I believe it was ruled a TD on the field. After reading this thread of did he or did he not re-establish himself go round and round. I feel that the replay booth was saying the same thing, thus not enough to overturn the ruling on the field. Just my opinion.

Yeah but that’s the whole thing. They made the incorrect call on the field.

Yeah that was...well, completely #bsc.
