Ifanse is hurt

I still think the Cats run for 250+.
No they will not! That’s a ridiculous statement. If Ifanse is out, they’re down their top 2 RB’s on Saturday. We’ve got the best run D in the conference. There’s no way that without Ifanse, they go over 250. Hell even if he does play, I don’t see them running the ball over us like past years. But it’s not gonna matter cause I talked to a cat player this morning who told me Ifanse is fine, and they just held him out for precaution.
I'll believe that we can stop them from rushing for 300 yards if/when we actually do it.

If Anse is hurt, who starts?

If Anse’s backup is hurt, who stars?

If Anse doesn’t play, how does their O change?

Ask Bobby. I am sure he will be up late working on it. I think he may be figuring Troy Anderson might be the guy. 😂

Its a ruse, Bobby will spend half the week prepping for Tommy and write of Ifanse as injured, then Ifanse will get 30 carries and Tommy wont play except on special teams :thumb:

Fonzie will be fine. He came down with a mild case of Vestibular papillomatosis in the 2nd half. Seems to have broke out in the Cats locker room.

So 220 then?
Ok let me ask the questions. Why do you think they’re gonna run for 250? What have you seen from our defense this year that makes you believe they’ll go that high rushing?

Weber is a good if not better defense. So yeah he has played against one.
Really? Are they this good? National FCS stats:

Rushing Defense: Griz are #3 at 73.0 Yards per Game.
Scoring Defense: #5 at 13.3 Points per Game.
Sacks: #5 with 35, causing 248 yards in losses to the opponent.

Defensive TDs: Tied for #2 at 4 (one fumble scoop and score, and 3 pick sixes.)
Passes Intercepted: Tied for #1 with 17. Justin Ford’s 8 interceptions leads all of the FCS.

Buschini is #3 in punting average at 46.51 yards … just 0.25 yards out of #1. He has punted 53 times. Between his good hang time (leading to many fair catches) and the UM coverage, opponents have only 49 yards total in punt returns.

Pull the stats against a common opponent… let’s see them for both teams vs Eastern.

1. We already have a Mr T on this board. I know Mr T. Mr. T is a friend of mine. You, sir, are no Mr T.

2 Eastern? THAT’S the game you want to use as a comparison?? A team who’s offense is comparable to the cats’ in the same way apples are comparable to belly button lint? How about we use Portland state instead.

3. Learn to use the fucking quote feature. It’s really not that difficult. God, you guys sure got ripped off on that whole “stem education” shit msu sold you.

Take it to the bank- with or without ifanse the cats will not rush for more than 175 yards(if that) against Montana's defense. Not gonna happen! :coffee:

Go Griz!!

Great! They won't run for more than 175 yards with or without..

Go Griz!

I have it from a source that Ifanse will most likely be held out of this weekends game, similar to Troy not playing in 2019. He listed on the depth chart but will be out.

I doubt it. Ifanse is more than half their offense.
The coaches would rather have him in the playoffs on 3 weeks rest, not two weeks rest after getting beat up again in this weeks game. They are confident of a seed even if they lose.
They could well be right. However, by my projection and count, the season is likely to end with as many as ten teams with 2 or fewer losses. Throw in a couple 3-loss teams from the CAA and MVFC, and you have a lot of competition for the eight seeds. Not sure I'd be willing to take the risk.

He’s a great player for sure. Accounts for about a quarter of our offense to date. I’m fine either way but I think we’ll see him Saturday.
You can't calculate that. Teams overload to defend him which weakens them against the others. Half may be a very good estimate. That said if he's dinged and only 80%, that's still a hell of a load to defend. As always he will get a lot of attention. Our corners are good enough to play man and our safeties are good at defending the running game.
