If you ran Grizzly Athletics for the day

Facilities, Facilities, Facilities. So sick of UM football having such piss poor infrastructure. Believe me, IF I was one of the lucky ones who had the money to do so, I'd make multiple contributions to a lockerroom upgrade and an indoor practice facility. I guess a guy can dream.

Everyone's pretty much touched on the things I'd do. I would definitely add wrestling though.. great sport, low cost.

Wrestling, Swimming and Gymnastics were great sports at UM. I'd like to see all of them return. Scott Bliss, Fred Stetson, and Terry Hamilton were great coaches.

...with all the new recruiting money...
...put a superior product on the field...
...fat booster's break out their wallets...
...raise the price of tickets/advertising...
...then the projects you'z guyz mentioned...

... 8-) ...

I understand that you are a real estate person. If you want local businesses to contribute, would you be willing to waive your commission on purchases and sales by UM coaches? Is that legal? It seems to me that you (or your firm) could help the program a lot that way and not have any out-of-pocket cost.

My initial idea was for sake of just coming up with some fun and new ideas. However if I were asked to help I think that might be something I'd consider in some way or form. I don't see any legal issues with it but I'd have to make sure that's the case. Also I couldn't offer it to any players or players families since I'm a booster - it would have to be paid staff only. I think. I'm not a compliance guru there. Also can't speak for my firm, just myself.

Also a quick clarification: Any house listed for sale in the multiple listing service (MLS) has an offer of compensation with it, which is paid to a buyer's agent by the listing broker. That listing broker collects a commission of some sort from the seller of the house and offers a portion of it to the buyer's agent. So when a buyer purchases a home they're not paying a fee directly. That said, agents can reduce their incoming fee if they choose to do so, which would, in turn, potentially lower the sales price of a home.

Add wrestling? What Conference Affiliation are you going to have since wrestling isn't a sport sanctioned by the Big Sky Conference? Go Independent for wrestling? Oh yeah, that would be cheap. ;)

Western Wrestling Conference is where Wyoming, NDSU, SDSU, Utah Valley, Air Force, and Northern Colorado are. Pac12 offers wrestling, which is where Boise is. Big 12 is also a wrestling powerhouse.

I ran Grizzy Athletics for a day and on a wild hair decided to fire the football coach and the athletic director. I am not falling for this trick again.

I came up with the idea of Mo.

Upgrade weight room, locker room by 2015
Increase coaches salaries to be among the highest paying in FCS immediately
Get an indoor, multi purpose facility built by 2016
Prepare to take advantage of any opportunities to move up and or expand the BSC. Change is inevitable in the FBS/FCS landscape. Montana needs to be proactive and not reactive.
Expand the BSC?? 13 is a bloated number as it is.

so adding another revenue drain makes sense?

Makes more sense than having golf and track teams.. wrestling would actually draw ticket and concession revenue. Low cost start-up. I'd wax the track program(s), honestly.
