If you had told me (us) ...

Wow. Full blown fabrication on every point. I guess you really feel a need to lie and lie and lie, since I never said any of that.

This is what I actually said:
Idiot: Do you think Makena Simis is better than Brady Gustafson and should be the No. 1 quarterback on this current Griz' team? Yes or no?
I answered that question on the germane thread. At that time, I specifically said I did not know and could not know "from the data." When Brady had a good game, he had a good game. When Makena had a good game, he had a good game. But, like many Cat fans, this forum included people who wanted a predetermined result. As I specifically said at the time, "it may be true, it is just unsupported at this time by the data."

And it was. There is simply no doubt about that. I'm not inclined to spasms of despair, nor to explosions of euphoria. Just not. The data will summarize what happened, and the more of it, the better. That is why I specifically said, at that point in time, I certainly could not know; others claimed that they could.
For some reason, when you failed to reach adulthood, you could not fathom that anyone could say they could not make a specific conclusion based on "data," when you, an avowed member of the Illuminati, knew with absolute certainty that you could predict the outcome of the NDSU game, based on the data I was looking at. I even said you could be correct. But you're such a troll and an arrogant SOB, I wasn't doing what you wanted me to do; acknowledge your prescience in predicting what I actually predicted.

It isn't that your dishonesty has exploded into full-blown sociopathy, why don't you just become a Cat fan and save everyone the trouble?

So to recap:

After the ISU game

UM75 "Here are the stats that illustrate that Simis is the best option at QB" *Posts the stats from the UND game*

GIDB "The offense hasn't looked anything but mediocre apart from that one game. Have you seen his stats from the last two games?"

UM75 "Does not compute. The stats that I have conveniently picked and provided don't lie. Simis > Gus"

After the MSU game

UM75 "...."

Literally everyone except UM75 "Well, I guess that's that. Gus really is the best QB for this offense. He may not be perfect, but he's the best we have, and he does a pretty damn good job running it when he's on his game."

After the NDSU debacle

UM75 "I'm back, bitches. Looks like my cherry-picked stats proved that Gus is a terrible QB. I'm not going to outright say that I still think Simis is the better QB, but I'm going to hint at it quite strongly."

Everyone "Dude, seriously?"

GIDB "Really bro? You're just going to ignore the last 4 weeks and still claim Simis should be the guy?"

UM75 "I'm not saying that! *exaggerated wink* I'm just saying that you were wrong about stats in a vague, general sense and wrong about...other stuff...you're just wrong, Wrong John Silver. Case closed. The ball is in the outfield for a slam dunk. Neener Neener Neener."

Is that about right?

   preach marty!

75....who do you think should have been the starting QB for the Griz this past season.....
My point was, the one you keep lying about, is that you had no basis for your "choice," and, after offering a few statistics to show your choice could not be that clear, and asked you what your basis was (about 15 times) and all you could do was stutter, you decided to reverse the offer of proof, and then lie about what I had said, which is, "you might be right, but you appear to be unable to justify your choice."

It was all about your loud mouth. Then when everything I pointed to as flaws in your apparently unsupportable analysis turned out to be true, in spades, you resurrect your embarrassment to try and claim that I said something I did not say, while pretending your are not the horses rear end you are by blaming the players for "lack of talent" -- direct quote.

It wasn't about Gus or Simis, it was about you and your endless ego.

Sounds like Coach Stitt had a tough call to make but made the choice he felt gave the team the best chance to win ball games. Well ain't that a corker!

You guys, doing your "bickering old men" impersonation, stopped being fun to read 20 pages ago.

Can you agree to disagree so we can all move on?

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration of my ernest request. :P :P :P

Actually it was about observing both QB's.....how they played against different defensive schemes....if they had the ability to look through their progressions.....the ability to audible by correctly reading the the defense presnap.....all things that you wanted to ignore.....seems to be an ego issue for you.....heck, you are not even willing to state which QB you think should have been the starter even after making a huge deal about your "statistical analysis" of both players.....seems that such an exhaustive effort would lend you to an opinion.....guess not

Good luck with that. I'm about to undertake a sabbatical..... :thumb: :thumb:

Interesting where his thread has gone ... and I find it hard to believe it has gone into this many pages. :o

When I started it, I just wanted to remind people of how we felt when the Griz were most of the way through the regular season, and stood at 4-4. Few of us predicted -- hoped for, but not predicted -- how the season would end up. From that, I concluded that we should be reasonable happy/satisfied about the end result.

Oh well ... as my late Granny would say, "Tain't no accountin' for people."
