If Cats don't win in Frisco, should Vigen be moved on?

Good post and analysis. I agree. The UM QB's would be a lot better if they had the Cat running game.

Recall that I said after the Cat game, that UM would have won the game if the teams had just switched QB's. That was high praise for Mellott and not meant as a diss to our QB's. With Mellott at QB, the Griz OL would not have to protect a pocket passer, and Mellott is incredibly mobile.

Why can't some Cat posters, just some, just be satisfied with Mellott being a very good player and QB, who is having a great season and leading his team towards the top? Why does he have to be an all-world passer?

As for me, I do not at all think he has to be an all world passer. I am glad he has had a very good year. It is a credit to the hard work he has put in to improve his passing game. I was surprised to see he is the highest graded PFF QB in Div1. He has come a long way. Hope he wins the Payton award.

Cats finished 6-2 in conference last year, good for 2nd place, and earned a first round bye. The gris finished all alone in 5th place this year and had to play over Thanksgiving break. PR says truly idiotic things like this because (he claims) he's trolling Cat fans, but you don't as much. I thought it was worth correcting your post with a dose of reality.

What was your team doing over Christmas break?

Can you not read, or did you just ignore everything my post was referring to on purpose?

There must be an option 3 lol. Yes, I can read and no I didn't ignore stuff on purpose. Just skimming over here lately.

But seriously, there's some bad posting going on over here in general (not directly referring to you). Vigen has finished 1st, 2nd (but never had a chance to play the 1st place team and yet went much further in the playoffs), 2nd, and 1st. Two of those seasons were 8-0. Again, no worse than 2nd, ever

Bobby 2.0 has finished 6th, 3rd, 3rd, 6th, 1st, and 5th. That's a horrific performance in a weak BSC. And he's gone 2-4 against the Cats. There's absolutely no reason Bobby should be retained through his contract. The mighty gris have truly accepted mediocrity at this point.

I don't give a shit about the he BSC placements because they mean nothing when the teams don't play the same schedule. If we avoided MSU and UCD like NAU did, I'd bet we finish at least as good as they did, if not better.

You had a cat fan saying that we should tell him what it's like to not still be in it after the quarters literally a year after you guys went through exactly that. If you don't like people saying idiotic things, take it up with him.

You're just trying to dress it up. I get it, it's not fun being not as good as you think you. Trust me, we've gone through that twice now in 3 seasons.

There is nothing mediocre about the Griz program. In last 2 years, so far, it has done better the the Cat program. Vigen got a good program when he came. Hauck got a bad program that had been ranked 33d. The Cats sometimes finish okay or good in the conference, and then they fade.

And Big Sky conference has been very strong in several years, including last year. One of the strongest years in modern history. And the Griz were on top of it. Yes, the conference is weaker this year, and that's why the Cats can be on top of it. Yes, UM had a down year.

The Cats under Vigen have never finished worse than a tie for 2nd in conference standings. The Griz under Hauck in his return have finished better than a tie for 3rd one time. If you consider what MSU is doing in terms of conference play as “okay or good”, then what is UM doing?
