If Cats don't win in Frisco, should Vigen be moved on?

Got blown out by ndsu in Frisco not long ago
Hmmmm. That was forty games ago, but whatever floats your boat. Of course we all know it probably wouldn't have been as lopsided if Tommy doesn't break his foot in the first drive of the game, but the Cats still would have lost... because we weren't there yet with the line play.

At any rate, the griz got smoked by SDSU in their last game, and smoked by the Cats two games before that. But again, if you all want to pretend that these two teams are equal right now, go for it.

They are not equal right now since the Cats are still playing but next season they will not be equal either with the Cats back below the Griz without Tommy and having to go to Missoula.

Correct, the teams are not equal now. The Griz are ahead. If the Cats win 3 more, then the Cats will be ahead. That's how it works.

This thread is hilarious. It’s like 5280 and poorgriz is having a dissociative identity argument with themselves. Hoops did it again, creating madness for a chuckle, it’s like shooting fish in a cereal bowl, as poor and money! will always bite.

Next year, will be a great measuring stick for those that want to compare the two. Cats start the season with two tough ones, then the remaining schedules are fairly comparable. Can both coaches reload, how many will Cats lose to the portal vs. Griz, who will have the better QB, tune in next season for ‘Real Coaches of Montana’.

And my thread was inspired by Poor’s stupid Bobby thread. Without that dumb troll thread, I would not have done this thread. And I had happened to have already done the two/year comparison, so I knew I had some material.

Not sure how the SOS factors in here with looking at multiple seasons and Hauck and Vigens head to head record and both coaches records against the DSU’s.

I will concur that the Bobcats had an easier SOS as shown by many different rating systems.
This post is referring to the SOS of playoffs but could easily be extended to include the season.

Blown out by NDSU or SDSU to end the season every year as well as blown out against the Griz in Missoula. In these games his teams can’t even compete.
Spot on. During the down year last season they got beat like a drum by SDSU 20-16 and NDSU 35-34. Total ass kickings.

You lose by 1 point, you lose by 100 points - it all looks the same in the W-L columns, and virtually no one but the two teams involved knows or cares what the point differential was.

The only blow outs were against the griz and NDSU in the chipper. They lost to NDSU in OT by 1, they beat SDSU and lost to SDSU in Brookings on a controversial call TD the last play. Here again I'm willing to wager any of you that think they will lose any game this year. Just PM me and I will oblige. My honest thoughts are that they have a 60% chance to make the NC. If they do it's a 50/50 game.

This isn't entirely accurate. Not sure if you were paying attention to the back and forth pre season and early season, but PR kept hyping up the griz, posting about how much better they were going to be than MSU. Better coaches, better OL, better defense, better RBs, better QBs, etc. So of course I push back and tell him I didn't agree and that I felt the Cats would have a better team overall. So now the proof is out there, and PR pivots to..... I just post all that stuff to get the Cat fans riled up, or..... well the griz were better in 2023. LOL

You're forgetting the blowout in Brookings in the semifinals.

Are you new here? He's been successfully riling up Bobfans for 20+ years. He has a near 100% hit rate because, like the UNDSU fans of the 2010s, Bobfans cannot take it if anyone doesn't shower their favorite FCS football team with anything but praise.

in 2023 SDSU wins on a controversial call. Cats gave them all they could handle. NDSU wins by 1 on a blocked extra point. Idaho wins by 3 - so many mistakes by the Cats. They lost 4 games, 3 on the road. Losses to #1, #2, #3, and Idaho at I believe #6. Brutal schedule. How tough was the Griz schedule this year? Griz lose at home to Weber. Weber! North Dakota steam rolls the Griz, as do Davis at home, MSU, and SDSU. Is this what fan bases do when their team's home for Christmas break?
