Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th. We are back and previewing the bungals this week. I expect them to be the typical trash they are year after year, but you never know. They avoid Eastern and the Griz and get Weber at home but do have to go to the cats. They were 2-4 this spring but 5 of their 6 games were all 1 possession games, and Tyler Vander Waal, they're Wyoming transfer QB, was the Big Sky newcomer of the year this spring. Let's dive in!
September 4 vs. North Dakota-L. A consistent playoff team that got to the quarterfinals this spring. ISU doesn't stand a chance in this one.
September 11 @ Nevada-L. One of the more improved mountain west teams. Nevada has had a rocky history against big sky teams, but they seem to finally be figuring things out in Reno. I like the wolfpack in this one.
September 18-BYE. Accommodating BYU later in the season.
September 25 vs. Sacramento State-L Could be a close game IMO but I like the hornets.
October 2 @ Northern Arizona-L. I feel like ISU is the worst road game team in the conference and I don't think they have much of a chance in this one.
October 9 vs. UC Davis-L. Played them very close this spring in Davis but couldn't get it done, but I think UC Davis learned their lesson and won't be making that mistake again.
October 16 @ Portland State-W. This game feels like a total jump ball. It's almost impossible to go winless nowadays so I got to pick them to win something. This feels like a potential winner.
October 23 @ Montana State-L. I wish they would both just beat the hell out of each other. Not gonna end well for the Bungals in this one.
October 30 vs. Weber State-L. Feels like a trap game for Weber but they should be ashamed of themselves if they drop this one. Weber takes it.
November 6 @ BYU. Gonna take a break from conference play to get their asses kicked by the mormons. Good luck to ya!
November 13 @ Cal Poly-W. This is the only game on their schedule where I actually feel confident picking them to win. Cal Poly will be bad and I think ISU steals this one.
November 20 VS. Idaho-W. They won this game in the spring. Both teams will be feeling defeated but in a rivalry game and some positive mojo after winning the week before, I like the bungals. I did Idaho two weeks ago and I don't remember who I picked to win this one in their thread, but I'm allowed to change my mind to ISU if I originally picked Idaho.
Maybe I'm not giving ISU enough credit but they also haven't given me any reason to trust them more. I have them at 3-8. I suppose they could be much better then that but I just don't see it. Thoughts?
