Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th. We are back and previewing the bungals this week. I expect them to be the typical trash they are year after year, but you never know. They avoid Eastern and the Griz and get Weber at home but do have to go to the cats. They were 2-4 this spring but 5 of their 6 games were all 1 possession games, and Tyler Vander Waal, they're Wyoming transfer QB, was the Big Sky newcomer of the year this spring. Let's dive in!

September 4 vs. North Dakota-L. A consistent playoff team that got to the quarterfinals this spring. ISU doesn't stand a chance in this one.

September 11 @ Nevada-L. One of the more improved mountain west teams. Nevada has had a rocky history against big sky teams, but they seem to finally be figuring things out in Reno. I like the wolfpack in this one.

September 18-BYE. Accommodating BYU later in the season.

September 25 vs. Sacramento State-L Could be a close game IMO but I like the hornets.

October 2 @ Northern Arizona-L. I feel like ISU is the worst road game team in the conference and I don't think they have much of a chance in this one.

October 9 vs. UC Davis-L. Played them very close this spring in Davis but couldn't get it done, but I think UC Davis learned their lesson and won't be making that mistake again.

October 16 @ Portland State-W. This game feels like a total jump ball. It's almost impossible to go winless nowadays so I got to pick them to win something. This feels like a potential winner.

October 23 @ Montana State-L. I wish they would both just beat the hell out of each other. Not gonna end well for the Bungals in this one.

October 30 vs. Weber State-L. Feels like a trap game for Weber but they should be ashamed of themselves if they drop this one. Weber takes it.

November 6 @ BYU. Gonna take a break from conference play to get their asses kicked by the mormons. Good luck to ya!

November 13 @ Cal Poly-W. This is the only game on their schedule where I actually feel confident picking them to win. Cal Poly will be bad and I think ISU steals this one.

November 20 VS. Idaho-W. They won this game in the spring. Both teams will be feeling defeated but in a rivalry game and some positive mojo after winning the week before, I like the bungals. I did Idaho two weeks ago and I don't remember who I picked to win this one in their thread, but I'm allowed to change my mind to ISU if I originally picked Idaho.

Maybe I'm not giving ISU enough credit but they also haven't given me any reason to trust them more. I have them at 3-8. I suppose they could be much better then that but I just don't see it. Thoughts?

NAU is even more inconsistent; ISU certainly should have a chance. You may be giving NAU too much credit.

That's possible. I thought they looked pretty impressive in the spring. They were 4-2 and should've won that game against Weber if it weren't for the unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the game.

I think NAU will be much-improved this season

I don’t think they beat CP in November. If they had them 1st or 2nd maybe….I think BB will have his boys playing some better football later in the year.

I'd be willing to bet anyone on here that ISU doesn't go 3-8. In fact, I'll put $2,000 on 5+ wins. Takers?

I could maybe see you sneaking in 5 wins. Maybe.

I'd love to hear the 5 or more teams you see you guys beating. Genuinely curious as I know very little about ISU this year.

Their fan base peaked in 1981 with their NC. Trivia question: What borders ISU in the SW side, and is home to many ISU fans?

Anyone of you willing to step up and bet me $2,000 that ISU wins more than 3 games? ISU's offense will be as explosive as any in the conference.

Why just three games now? You said 5+.

Yeah, dude, you moonwalked back from 6 wins (which I imagine is what 5+ means? ) to 3? I feel like I'm at the Mo-Town 50th anniversary special. I won't bet you $2000 because as "Hunt-Ducks" pointed out on another forum I'm only a teacher. (Incidentally in my part of Canada it means I make 6 figures and own two houses, and NO medical insurance, see even us Canucks can brag). It's because all your money looks the same, plus ours isn't worth anything, and besides I drink a lot and use reading glasses. Still you all ain't gonna win 6, and I've played rugby and drank beers with Kennedy Nkeyasen so I've got street cred in Pocatello.

Quality post on so many levels.

First, only Dill would call out a teacher like it's a bad thing. The most underappreciated profession there is and I for one commend you.

And yes, no way ISU wins 6 games. I don't care enough about them to put 2k on their record, but I'd gladly take 5 or fewer vs 6 or more. Just not happening I don't think.
