You are so off on what I said I don't know where to start to try to get you back on topic. I never said YOU compared UM to Boise State. Find where I said that before you rant and call names. I said the move uppers, which include you apparently, never seem to remember the many, many programs that have moved up and not done well. Move uppers have selective memory and only want to find a couple shining examples, like BSU, that support their case. To say we should move up, move uppers have to compare us to BSU implicitly because I don't think you would use Idaho as an example of why to move up....right?

You're either a "glass is half empty" guy or a "glass is half full" guy. I think we know where you stand. :|

You are either living out of state and want big boy football with no cost to yourself or you want someone else to pay for the move up so you can pretend to be someone. We know where you stand. ;)

You're half right.

But lets just say playarape doesn't know ALL the potential big donors. 8-) 8-)

I would pay more if I thought it would be better to watch. I don't. Frankly, playing shit BCS schools we have no history with is not enticing to me. Even if we did well, playing another shit BCS team in the "Fight Hunger Bowl" means nothing to me. No amount of money or yapping is going to make that scenario sound good to me. Now, if we had a division that had Nevada, Idaho, Boise State and MSU in it, like the old days, I could get excited about it. That will never happen and you know it. But lets say it did happen, and we win the division (two big ifs) are you telling me that playing the seventh place Pac12 team in a meaningless bowl would excite you? You people that want to move up for that type of situation mystify me.

So you'd rather play shit FCS schools we have no history with. Gotcha.

And FYI: playoffs ARE coming to FBS...or have you been too busy railing against the evils of FBS football to notice?

No I knew more about life twenty years ago than you will on your deathbed. The FBS bowls are a crock of crap now, why would you think the FBS playoff participants would somehow be decided fairly? Are you really that stupid? Just recognize you suffer from little man's disease and pour your money into U of A or ASU. Then you can root for your "home team" sport.

What are you, 12?

Opponent Record Against
Boise 9-16-0
Nevada 4-10-0
Idaho 27-55-2
Montana State 70-36-5

Wyoming 0-13
Washington State 2-32
Washington 1-16-1
Utah State 8-26
Utah 0-11-0
Oregon State 2-12-2
Oregon 0-7-1
New Mexico 4-10-0
Colorado State 6-10-0
Brigham Young 5-11-0

My point? We have JUST AS MUCH HISTORY or more with all the "shit" FBS teams in our neighborhood as we do with Boise or Nevada. With the exception of Idaho, the "old days" were only about a 15-18 year span from the late '70's to the mid '90's. Why do we have to get the band back together to feel like its entertaining football?

47 but close. Just like your ideas on moving up, you are a little off sport.

You're so learned. How did you learn so much so quickly when you're actually YOUNGER than me? :? :?

Sport. ;)

AzGriz....gina doesn't realize that we have a long history playing the schools in the Mountain West and WAC. She is a youngster.

I learned so much so quick because I am smarter than you. You weren't able to recognize the reason because you are simple. Hope that helps.

And VERY unsuccessfully, as you can see above. And, I'm not a youngster, so I do remember those 'old days.'

I know all about that history and just about none of those teams would be in a conference with us. So your point is?

Be realistic, '68. There was no commitment by Montana to football back then. It's different today, wouldn't you agree?

Since your xenophobia has endured through more than a dozen irrelevant posts I'm guessing the disorder is chronic. FYI. Moving out of state doesn't turn a Griz alum/fan into an ASU, UA, CU CSU USAFA, UW or WSU type Manchurian Candidate . Please make sense - sometime, lady g.

Gina: so what teams do you think should be in a conference with us? North Colorado, Ft. Lewis, Western State, Southern Utah? We might do well in such a conference.

Such a big word for you. I'm proud. Riddle me this Mr. Metropolitan, do you think people out of state are more or less likely to buy more season tickets at new, higher rates than instate residents? Will they attend more games or less than instate residents on average? Do you think people out of state are more or less likely to contribute substantial sums toward the required infrastructure improvements than instate residents? Finally, where did I say moving out of state automatically makes you a non-Griz fan? I didn't in case you're too dense to look it up.

Speaking of So Utah, I see that an early pre-season all-american team has the SU qb as the first team all-american qb.

The chances of UM being in the same conference as Fort Lewis and Western State are the same as UM being in the same conference as USC and UCLA.

That they can't afford now with their losing team's fanbase. Sometimes you have to live within reality. Life can be tough on dreamers.

I think they think they can be Boise St. Obviously not going to happen. Only 1 "big time" school in that state...hey, wait a minute....................

UI is a much much better school than BSU and is still the flagship and research university of the state. ISU and COI are better schools for that manner. BSU has a horrible graduation rate and is considered by many as a transmuter school. BSU has good new leadership and are making some moves to improve many of their academic departments, but they have a very long ways to go. It is why they are not in the PAC12.

I'm sorry...what I meant was on the field wanting to be like Boise. Actually as far as academics go I understand that UI is a very good school. I should've clarified.

Southern Utah is the toughest game on our schedule next year IMO
