Did you watch the first drive and notice I said coaching was number one?I wonder why they couldn't run the ball and had issues on defense.....and it was pretty evident that they couldn't throw the ball at will.

One loss and he was a great leader. Keep trying to argue against it.He wasn't undefeated. He also didn't have any solo wins either.
I don't think they are undefeated with Clif because QB isn't the biggest issue. Secondly, Clif wasn't the big team leader you keep implying. One loss and he was a great leader. Keep trying to argue against it.
Did you read my post which stated that even if you thinking coaching is the biggest issue, Davis winning the LOS all game long was the main reason they lost. Also, you may be onto something, if the Davis defense just kept falling down so Griz receivers would be open, it might have been a banner day.Did you watch the first drive and notice I said coaching was number one?
5 for 6 on the opening drive. Had nothing to do with receivers falling.Did you read my post which stated that even if you thinking coaching is the biggest issue, Davis winning the LOS all game long was the main reason they lost. I bet Clif would have been 6 for 6.5 for 6 on the opening drive. Had nothing to do with receivers falling.
He was many times.I bet Clif would have been 6 for 6.
My opinion, this team wouldn't be better with Clif. I am not sure if he would be in my top 5 of guy that are gone that were on the team last year.He was many times.
The offense is performing better than last year, and there are stats to back that up. We are averaging more points per game this year, we have a better 3rd down percentage. I'm not trying to be condescending, but I don't believe you understand football well enough to know what other factors impact wins and losses. How many losses did he have as the starting QB?
The biggest issue was McDowell not playing well and looking like he didn’t want to be there as game went on.The biggest issue was coaching. Second was the defense, and third was running the ball. Fife went straight down the field for a TD. We could have thrown the ball at will against them.
you mean like posters are suggesting fife and gilman looked vs davis? oh wait, they can't tell how players feel or interact with others from simply watching the game...The biggest issue was McDowell not playing well and looking like he didn’t want to be there as game went on.
Against Furman and NDSU? Sure (although I'll still argue that Clif and the offense won both of those games in OT).I thought about this a bit this morning, and a big difference is the Griz return game hasn't bailed them out like they did numerous times last season. You could argue that Jr had a bigger impact on the winning streak than Clif.
My McDowell info came from a long time Big Sky offensive coach, not a random fan. That’s a big difference. I haven’t seen anyone criticize Gillman. Aren’t most people saying Fire should have played more against Davis?you mean like posters are suggesting fife and gilman looked vs davis? oh wait, they can't tell how players feel or interact with others from simply watching the game...
So what you are saying is neither of those playoff games get to OT without the return TD. Seems pretty relevant.Against Furman and NDSU? Sure (although I'll still argue that Clif and the offense won both of those games in OT).
But in the games Clif started after NAU and before those 2, we're averaging more per punt return and about the same per kick return this season as we did then, and we had 0 special teams touchdowns before Junior's kickoff return against Furman (only one the whole season against Utah Tech, and that hardly carried that game).
You mean like the two ropes he threw in OT against Furman and NDSU that won the games? The biggest issue was McDowell not playing well and looking like he didn’t want to be there as game went on.
Did the Griz play Furman and NDSU in Frisco? You have the wrong games. And, you missed some of the ropes he threw in practice last season too. Those didn't help at Frisco, tho.You mean like the two ropes he threw in OT against Furman and NDSU that won the games?
If McDowell and the O play better, they both get to OT.So what you are saying is neither of those playoff games get to OT without the return TD. Seems pretty relevant.
Your contention was that the winning streak was predicated on special teams returns, but we won 8 games in a row without a single return touchdown, averaged less per return than we are now, and had only 2 long returns in that time period. So what you are saying is neither of those playoff games get to OT without the return TD. Seems pretty relevant.
There would have been no Frisco if he hadn't carried the team. BH's decision with him and O line changed the team's direction.Did the Griz play Furman and NDSU in Frisco? You have the wrong games.
