Once the season starts, if he isn't getting reps with the top 2 offenses, he isn't running the Griz offense in practice. This isn't to say they were right in not putting him #2, it's clear he's a better option now, but if you're wondering how it got that way, there's your answer.
I guess what astounds me even more is it took almost two full games of watching Brown’s inability to move the offense before they finally made the change (if indeed it’s even truly been made). After 3 quarters at Sac and about 2 more quarters at Weber I would have thought that would have been enough. Might have salvaged the Weber game and all our fan angst over needing a win Saturday to get in would be moot.
