The only way for this type of narrative to stop is for the Griz to finally show up in one of these games. A number of top tier FCS programs have faired well against P5 conference schools. It’s not just programs like NDSU.

Even our own conference; EWU has two Pac-12 wins in the last ten years, and narrow, one score losses to UW (twice) and WSU. Sac State has two Pac-12 wins and even lowly Portland State has a Pac-12 win.

The Griz have been blown out badly. We were moderately competitive with Wyoming, which isn’t saying much. Bottom line is that for a such a storied FCS program we have an embarrassing resume in “play up” games. At some point that has to change, or idiots like this will write garbage stories like this.

This. Don't get me wrong, the Husky fan base has a lot to be proud of. But they're not nearly the big swinging dicks they think they are.

I only made it halfway through the article before I gave up on his word salad. This is the type of guy that thinks it means something when a team like USC hasn't played an FCS team; we all know a quality FCS team will put up a better fight than a cellar dweller FBS team.

I lived half my life on that side of Washington, and hated the Huskies. I always liked the Cougars for unknown reasons. I guess I just picked them.

When UW tied for the National Championship in 1991, that was GAME OVER as far as them thinking their shit didn't stink. I have read a few articles over the years, didn't really read this one, and watched the Seattle sports on the news nightly through at least HS.

From what others are saying, it's no surprise.

Remember though, the beating last time was by a 7th ranked team, if this one doesn't dominate 63-3 or whatever, they might drop out of the Top 25.
