Don't want to knock the kid, but if he had FCS-level talent, he'd either have won the job here, or he'd be going somewhere other than Carroll. If not for his performance in the spring game against 3rd stringers, I don't think people would have been banging on the table as much for him.
I'm sure he'll do really great in Helena, though. They've gotta be pretty stoked to have him.
This was rumored all season long so it’s not a surprise. To everyone who was worried about the QB room (myself included) the good news is now we have an open spot. We’ll be seeing another addition. No doubt about it.
I doubt I’m alone in being grateful it didn’t come to that. He seems to have found his level. Good for him.

The other thing nobody really ever cares to mention is the fact he’ll be at home, he won’t have to pay rent or dorm fees, food etc. And, Caroll is an outstanding college, very highly respected. A degree from there means something. Good for him, I hope he does well!!

Minimum yearly co$T at UM, for an In-state kid, is $25K and change, if living in a dorm and a decent meal plan…. Subtract about $9K for a dorm for 2 semesters, and another $2-4K for food… approx $12K and change savings, is a big deal Id say. Ask me in 2 years when I have to write those checks, I’ll have better #’s… 
Maybe, but I kinda doubt "you get to live with mom and dad" is a perk many 22 year-olds find super appealing lmao

Huot couldn't beat out two different guys who oscillated between decent and awful for much of the season.
Vidlak was the starter until he got beat out by a guy who took us to the national championship and a true freshman.
Britt left when he wasn't given the starting job after he got the backup job after being 3rd string and proving he was better than...
Kris Brown got maybe the longest leash of any mediocre QB we've ever seen.
Assuming you aren't just joking here, which of these guys didn't get a fair shake?

Britt played at Northern State in Aberdeen this year.
He may be referring to Fife.
