I had zero issue with Ah Yat starting the SDSU game...zero.

Meaning it's another QB that was recruited by Hauck that went nowhere in our program. Not a slight against Huots production in high school.

For Hauck, all 5 of his recruited frosh QB’s and the transfers are supposed to become starters.

Blake Thelen who led Tech to a couple great seasons left MSU. Tech’s best QB over the last 10-15 years was Quinn McQuery who also left MSU. Nathan Dick was UM scout team player of the year a few years ago and finished up at Rocky. It happens all the time. There are 100 players on Cats and Griz rosters and there are a large share that see little or no playing time. It is especially tough for QBs because there is only one on the field for most of game. Teams rotate multiple guys at all other positions and QBs don’t play special teams (outside of kick
Holding). I also don’t think many on here have gone to any Frontier Conference games in recent years. It is better football and way more competitive than many realize.

I'm just pointing out the fact that this is another HS QB that we have failed to develop at all. We haven't had any success with HS QBs under Hauck, maybe some hope for KAY
