With all the politically correct people out there, I am surprised Savage has not received some challenges to their name-Savage Warriors. I be concerned if they win state, something will come up due to potential national attention.

Kind of like the atheist group that is suing Whitefish resort to remove the Jesus statue that was erected by WWII veterans. Why would the atheist group out of Wisconsin even care?

I am cocerned some ACLU type person from the outside will want to butt his head into other peoples business and claim it is offensive to Native Americans. I am sure Savage residents are proud of their name and wish not to change, so hopefully my concern has no value.

I hope you are right, but then I was surprised they made ND change their mascot name. Granted that is on a much bigger stage.
Were you around when PETA tried to get Whitefish to change their high school name because Whitefish was offensive to fish? Nothing surprises me anymore with activist.
