Two seasons? Did Brady ever go anywhere else? I though it was 5 seasons. He was a pretty good player too, just not on the level of the guys I mentioned

Nobody is saying we need to have a backup on par with the starter. Having one that's competent enough to win a game in a jam isn't a lot to ask either though.

It's indicative of this program's inability to develop QBs going back years.

You are clearly missing the point. Their 3rd string freshman QB put up 260 yards on our vaunted defense. The message is other teams know how to develop effective backups that can put their team in a position to win when the starter goes down. Can we say the same? Certainly not this season. Or last season for that matter .

Oh, and he also explained very well (Not in this presser, but one from a couple weeks ago), that the most important aspect of being a GREAT team, is having excellent backups. Vigen and this staff invests heavily in ALL players on the roster, and does everything necessary to prepare them to be great when their number is called. It works, judging from how the Cats haven't really seen any drop off when losing several starters. Part of this success is also due to double repping practices, a brilliant idea. Bobby should copy that.
