How is Stitt like Delaney?

For the sole sake of getting a reaction, any nugget of legitimate observation or insight from ATL1 is fully discredited by the author's own tone (a monotone at that). More the pity.

The only rational conclusion is that his motivation and purpose is to get a reaction, any reaction, from other posters. Therefore, unless you enjoy being a pawn in his amusement, the only rational response is to have no response, especially to the call of "crickets".

I once saw it posted that the only thing a troll is fishing for is hungry guppies. (insert Wayne's World "fish on" video clip here)

In full disclosure, I do laugh from time to time on who and what he hooks.

That is the problem.....It's all in the delivery. Most of Growler's points have some merit but It's kind of a "chicken or the egg" thing now though. There is so much bad blood, the guy can't post anything without getting blasted......even when he attempts to "mellow" his tone he gets attacked. Since yesterday, I have seen at least five personal attacks on Growler. Do the mods say anything? No. Is Growler guilty of being "thin skinned" and over reacting? Yes. Unfortunately he goes "scorched earth" and things blow up. His detractors of course know this is Growler's M.O. so the cycle continues......I really agree with the recent attempts to make things more civil around here but it really needs to get more even handed IMO. Maybe it's a "work in progress" we'll see.....

First, they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Socialist.
Then, they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a trade unionist.
Then, they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Jew.
Then, they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.

Back to topic, I liked the comment about their pictures hanging next to each other. That was good.

No offense but you seem to equate what happens on privately run internet forum with the real world. Completely different in my estimation. If the Trade Unionists and Jews start getting banned here then I might change my mind...

Normally I agree but his statements on lack of emphasis on special teams is wrong.

IMO, some of this is coming from Stitt saying he doesn't care if the ball is even returned. Just fair catch and get the offense out there...this my appear to some as not taking special teams as seriously as one could. :twocents:

Solid point! We've mostly seen returns since Liberty but you're right, it does create a perception!

Putter always makes solid points, it's because he's from Butte. That's my :twocents: 8-)

Stitt is like Delaney in the fact that they both love college football, and both had the balls to pursue it as a career.

Weird

Give it a rest, box. Your weak attempts at altering every other post with some sort of homosexual reference are never even slightly humorous, and frankly make people question your keen interest in the subject.

I always think..."No way Kem is that big of a knucklehead"....then he continues to post...

Kem is one of the few smart posters on here. You should try to learn something from him.

Like how he was almost completely wrong on special teams? Cool
Really? "Almost completely wrong on special teams"? Griz fans that were around for the Hauck era know and understand what prioritizing STs is and what it does for the W-L of the program. Anyone who is objective and not partisan can clearly see that neither MD nor Stitt placed a priority even approaching what we were accustomed to. Hauck would not delegate ST responsibilities; the players knew its importance and the results spoke for themselves. He used his best players on STs. Since then, our kicking game has been no better than average. Our kick return game is awful. Coverage is average, not approaching the standards set in the BH era, when teams were doing well to get past the 15 on KOs. Hauck's expertise was STs; Stitt's is passing O; MD's was ....

And you claim that is "almost completely wrong"? Cool.

I get your other points, and for the most part agree. But Ive got news for you: Sullivan has the highest FG %'age of any Griz kicker in the last 20 years. True fact. So, while we may wait on pins and needles every time he lines up, for the most part he makes them more than anybody in recent history.

So, Sullivan will end his career as All-American, break Carpenters records, and sign with the Dolphins. I don't have that much faith. Or, does 'recent history' begin with 2008?

Yep. That's exactly what I said.

I'll take your word on the stats. You DO have a decent sense of humor, though.

I'll have you know my sense of humor is beyond reproach.

Not every Griz kicker was able to make a living kicking nothing but 28 yards field goals...some of them were even able to kick from a little more distance...

Of course most of those kickers played on a team that didn't suck in the red zone....

Well, don't expect that to change much. Because either a) those drives are going to start ending in TD's or b) further out, Stitt is going to go for it on 4th down anyways....Anticipate a LOT of short FG's if the offense continues to struggle.
