How is Stitt like Delaney?

Coach Delaney, was a volunteer position coach who was brought out of retirement to be head coach of a program with some issues and weather the storm, admirably for the position he was put in.

Coach Stitt was made coach Delaney' replacement, being heralded as an innovative offensive coordinator and an offensive genius.

Now I am hopping that after he replaces, J.Jones, E.Henderson, B.Roberts, J.Janssen ( feels like he has already replaced Josh ) T.Favors, C. Naccarato ( coach Stitts go to fireplug ) J. Nguyen, J.Counts, and entire new offensive line, and hope he leaves the defensive recruits to TG that we are on the way of dominance the Griz once owned, and a NC and we won't have to wait fifteen years to see this relized.

Hope coach Stitt is an recruiting genius also, because I think he may want the same athletes, that every coach in the FBS and more than likely the FBS wants.

Since I'm still working on becoming a believer, will the already believers tell me how long you thing it will take coach Stitt to fulfill our expectations of coach Stitt.

As to the subject posted. Stitt has a little of Pflu (creative offense), Hauck (injuries and strategy are close to the vest), Glenn (very personable and can talk football forever), and Delaney (keeps players in check on and off the field, and keeps much behind closed doors).

As to the subject this turned into (ATL1 derailing yet another thread). How ironic is it that ATL is all over the likes of BW and PR for their relationships with the program? Yet, how many times does this yahoo (insert whatever word or words you feel fit better) brag about supposedly hanging out with, socializing with, running in the same crowd with? If true, how is that any different from BW, PR, etc? At least what they say regarding their relationships and standing with the program is true 100% and not fabricated. Granted, PR and I have had a few disagreements and run ins here, I actually respect him as a person. BW, other than some political point of view differences, I respect him 100% as well.

Why turn so many damn threads into this kind of crap? Why attack people when they don't agree with you? Why even mention GRIZ players you hang with? Who in the hell cares, after hearing the same crap after 100's to 1000's of times? People either believe you, or they don't!!!! There is nothing anyone can say or do to convince anyone other wise. Well, unless you can actually prove who these players are somehow. Being that likely will not happen, and it's none of our business, leave the damn players and former athletes out of it when comes to these pissing contests!!! Honestly to God, I doubt if any egrizzer cares about who anyone hangs with!!!

Over /Under for how long it will take ATL's next ban? Who is all in favor of a permanent ban?

IMO, some of this is coming from Stitt saying he doesn't care if the ball is even returned. Just fair catch and get the offense out there...this my appear to some as not taking special teams as seriously as one could. :twocents:

Solid point! We've mostly seen returns since Liberty but you're right, it does create a perception!

Sorry. Kem is a pretty good poster IMO. I know he doesn't need my support but he is more objective than most. He also pegged the problems with JN fairly early. Stitt seems to have adjusted his rotation at RB too. He deserves some credit for his good posts....

For the sole sake of getting a reaction, any nugget of legitimate observation or insight from ATL1 is fully discredited by the author's own tone (a monotone at that). More the pity.

The only rational conclusion is that his motivation and purpose is to get a reaction, any reaction, from other posters. Therefore, unless you enjoy being a pawn in his amusement, the only rational response is to have no response, especially to the call of "crickets".

I once saw it posted that the only thing a troll is fishing for is hungry guppies. (insert Wayne's World "fish on" video clip here)

In full disclosure, I do laugh from time to time on who and what he hooks.

Thank you. None of the coaches even know who Steve Dill is. Some of the holdover coaches and admin who browse eGriz from time to time (which is rare, but they do look from time to time) are very aware of Atl Griz, Growler, Wolfman or whatever screen name he is using at the time. They know the internet persona, but have no clue who he is personally. I have a feeling if Dill introduced himself as Atlanta Griz or Growler or any of his other screen names, he may not like the reception he gets! The same goes for a few other posters as well. I think eGriz should be like facebook, with real names attached to their posts. It would stop a lot of the trolling.

Really? "Almost completely wrong on special teams"? Griz fans that were around for the Hauck era know and understand what prioritizing STs is and what it does for the W-L of the program. Anyone who is objective and not partisan can clearly see that neither MD nor Stitt placed a priority even approaching what we were accustomed to. Hauck would not delegate ST responsibilities; the players knew its importance and the results spoke for themselves. He used his best players on STs. Since then, our kicking game has been no better than average. Our kick return game is awful. Coverage is average, not approaching the standards set in the BH era, when teams were doing well to get past the 15 on KOs. Hauck's expertise was STs; Stitt's is passing O; MD's was ....

More reality than perception. Stitt believes in his up-tempo offense, which is his passion. He wants to get the ball in the hands of his QB as soon as he can. STs is NOT his passion. To argue that it is is incredible.

Back to Stitt. Many don't seem to get the fact that his offense needs a first rate quick thinking QB and once he finds one all heck will run for cover. It is way more important right now to have an expert gun slinging QB than almost anything else. If the falling off Griz fans can wait they will eventually see a fantastic offense. In the meantime drink more kind wine...any color will do!
