How Griz hoops got shut down last year at tourney

You can compare Florida, Cali, Texas, New York etc... What you will find is that based on a percentage of population they are basically the same as far as Covid numbers go. Even though they reacted completely different from one another, New York and Cali are bankrupt and people are leaving, Texas and Florida are thriving and growing while living with the disease at the same time. Not insane for Florida to be open, just common sense based and what is known at this time
Was it not already addressed Florida was caught red handed playing down and hiding their actual covid numbers?

No. The whistleblow-type backed off of what she said almost immediately. Her first stuff got lots of press, but she later said that what she had said initially was misrepresented.

"“I don’t know who she is but they gave me an email that she sent to her supervisor, said that, ‘Uh oh, I may have said something that was misrepresented,’” DeSantis said, adding Jones went on to write that: “I said they’ve got a team working on it now and what I meant when I said don’t expect the same level of accessibility is that they are busy and can’t answer every single email they get right away and that it was ridiculous that I managed to do it in the first place and that I was tired and needed a break from working two months straight.”

Never said it was for one or two games, just an example of math. Let's say it was for the whole season. Math is the same. Just an average, the point is a small % still adds up.

No, the math is not the same. Your math is the average number of covid deaths in the US for 25,000 people in a year. Your math has nothing to do with going to Griz stadium. Your math also doesn't take into account the vaccines. Your math doesn't factor in older people who live in elder care homes, and die at a much hire rate. My view is that a half-full stadium this sporing, or next fall, would not result in even one additional death. I follow the data/science and have looked at articles on the studies and articles on the subject.

And you’re acting like, should someone go asymptomatic, spread it to a couple people around them, and then those people spread when they leave the stadium. The stadium isn’t a closed system. Anybody who gets covid there WILL go home with it.

I don't disagree with you about this spring and next fall, the point was from the second poster of this thread that seemed to imply the original reaction in March 2020 was an over reaction. Yes, things will get better very soon,. Got my vaccine today. I feel like this fall could be a full stadium. My Griz stadium example was just to put a personal touch to what a very small % could mean in real life. (Not a prediction related to past or future issues at a game) The point was that.01% death rate is not a small number when extrapolated over 300,000,000 people. Sorry for any confusion.

I have said nothing about what you said. I have been addressing GrizSteve’s math.

Okay, got it now. Thx.

I avoided this topic because it IS politicized. Worldwide statistics, oooh! I could care less if people die in Italy, Ghana, Sri Lanka, China, England, or where ever. Their problem, not mine. If these countries want to kill their economies for a death rate of .03 - 3%, fine. Controllers control. Shut up and obey. Rules for thee, but not for me. Plenty of examples of this. Sweden did shut down, they're fine. Texas and Florida went back to normal, they're fine.

Somewhere along the line in this country, money started flowing for Kung Flu death statistics. Amazingly, the numbers 'shot up.' It was reported there was a Wuhan Virus death that had nothing to do with the three bullet holes in his chest. Underlying conditions are ignored if it can be related to the China Flu. CHF, cancer, emphysema, cirrhosis, AIDS, or whatever have nothing to do with a death, as long as it can be traced to 'Covid. Honest stats are not recorded.

The fact that people continually call this the “China flu”, “Kung Flu”, or “China virus”, even as racially motivated hate crimes against Asian Americans continue to shoot up in the months after the beginning of this is quite frankly disgusting.

The Spanish Flu was so named after it was discovered in Spain. The Asian Flu was first found in Asia. IT IS the Wuhan Flu as it was traced to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in CHINA! Kung Flu was a comedic offshoot of the forgettable TV series. There has been a concerted effort to erase the origin of this much studied, cultured virus. Why? Use your brain, why? Racism! Racism! Typical left wing horseshit. THAT is disgusting.

Can someone match up the politically acceptable math numbers from the WuhanFlu to the average death numbers USA wide from all other influenza's over the past decade?

Remember, this IS NOT Political :thumb:

Holy shit. Don’t know if you’ve heard, but this is called COVID-19. Just a little news flash for you. Most viruses are named after where they begin, but this one ISN’T. Is it really that hard to comprehend? And also, the “Spanish Flu” didn’t originate in Spain. In fact, nobody knows the exact origin. The virus was still attached to Spain, because they were first to have national media report about it. Little history lesson, because I guess you need it. Simple fact is, most outbreaks are no longer attached to the place they are found, and are instead put under the name of the “family” of viruses they come from. “COVID”. Stop the bullshit excuses.

The numbers for this virus are FUBAR for reasons I have already stated. To get real stats, it would be necessary to go over every death, and check the medical records for each person. This is the stuff Doctoral Dissertations are made of.

And if you need proof, here you go. 5 years ago, the WHO (World Health Organization) issued new guidelines for naming diseases, hoping to avoid consequences for religious or ethnic communities associated with the name of the virus. Yet here we are, with hate crimes against Chinese Americans skyrocketing. Seriously people, it’s not that hard. All you have to do is say “COVID”.

WHO is totally corrupted, being bought by China. You have bought in to the politically correct terminology. I have not. It IS the Wuhan Virus. Is really that hard to comprehend WHY China doesn't want it publicized? They are liable to the entire world. By making them PAY for the consequences of their actions, this will bring their entire system down. The sooner the better. Blaming an entire race for this is ridiculous. Shifting the blame is equally ridiculous.

How in the fuck is having hate crimes rise against Chinese AMERICANS making CHINA pay. Some consequences huh. All these Chinese Americans taking the “consequences” as you call them, meanwhile life in China goes on with absolutely no change.

I have nothing to do with the so called hate crimes against Chinese Americans, any more than you do. It ain't in the news, but, then again, what is? Document the situation, be a eGriz reporterette. Enlighten us. Montana seems to be free of this plague of hate crimes. You are one well indoctrinated cadre. As I've said, I am not PC, so...Rotsa Ruck!

Well the only reason it ISN’T in the news is because it doesn’t fit CNNs narrative of how racism occurs, and it doesn’t fit Fox’s narrative of having almost no racism at all, so the main outlet to say anything at all was......the National Public Radio..... What I’m saying here isn’t exactly political, it’s just to stop associating races (although unintentionally) with outbreaks. Calling it Wuhan Virus or Wuhan Flu may not seem wrong, until you see the historical results of what happens when one demographic is blamed. It never ends well, and the country is never held responsible. And that will remain true with COVID. Anyways, back to basketball.

We have our own hate in the state, involves Native Americans.

Toss out a ton of Race cards and Victim cards when made-up fake Facts & Numbers don't add up?
