How bout those GRIZ!!!!

People on this board crack me up. This is a win on the road at an ACC team who wins NINETY SIX PERCENT of its home nonconf games. The AFuckingCC.

The ACC in BB is, top to bottom, far superior than the SEC is in football. Let’s assume the GRIZ football team went into, say Ol Miss, and won. They’re probably comparable to Pitt in the ACC (although of course they don’t win anywhere NEAR 96% of their nonconf games). This board would come unglued (well, except for a few negative nellies who get their jollies knocking all things GRIZ).

Not a quality win. :)

We should fire Stitt. It went into OT after all.

Fuck it. Fire Decuire while we’re at it. Hired by the same guy, after all...

Pitt was ranked 90th by Massey in Div 1 prior to today.

We were 188.

This is a big deal for us.

Shhhhh! You’re ruining the AntiGriz/AntiKent vibe a few extremely loud posters want us all to believe.

Nice win, but Pitt was only a slight favorite. Projections I saw was a 10-12 win season this year for them. But from a team perspective, it gives the confidence, and they can now keep it rolling. We need to win 4-5 of these this year.

Espn had Pitt as an 88% favorite. As they should have been. They win, in case you haven’t heard, NINTYFUCKINGSIX PERCENT of their home noncon games. I don’t care if you’re playing Butte High. If the team you beat wins 96 percent of those games, it’s a huuuuuuuge win. Couple that with the fact that it’s an ACC school?

We WON. AGAINST A POWER 5 TEAM. End of discussion.

Some people would bitch if they were hung with a new rope.

CAN YOU NOT READ!!! I said nice win, but keep it in perspective. IF Pitt only goes 7-21 this year, its not a win that will help us that much. Now beat Penn State, Stanford and UCLA and WE will be ranked.

Some people will WHINE if they have to many crackers. See I can do that too.

I may not know much about football, but basketball is my bread and butter, as my cousin is a former A-10 head coach, it's a nice win, but only if they have a decent year will it help us. IT does help the team for momentum.

We lost these games last year against middle of the pack mid-majors. I’ll take this win with NO qualifiers. That is one tough fucking place to win. Period.

We should have beat them by more. We were/are absolutely the better team. Missed free throws, etc. Akoh hasn't settled in yet. This team is only going to get better. Should be a fun ride this basketball season.

May be true in hindsight, but ZERO people expected a win there....there’s a reason twitter is blowing up about the Griz win right now...Pitt fans are ready to commit hari Kari.

Oh for sure, opinion is just based on what I watched. The reddit forum for the Pitt/UM postgame is hilarious.

It's a great win no matter what anyone says. Some "fans" are like the bitter fathers of a successful sons.
"Great job, son, but cancer was pretty much cured already."
