If I new this game was going to be so lopsided, I wouldn't have talked so much smack this week. I really expected a better game. You guys have great history, facilities and fan support. I think we just have too many weapons and a really great coach.

I'm sure it won't be long until you guys catch back up with us. In the meantime, I really hope we both destroy the kitties.

There won't be much catching up as long as our coaching staff remains and Vernon Adams is the QB.
 
Yepp its likely gonna be 5-10 years before this program is turned back around due to the administration flub a few years back.
 
You guys were able to make it look close late. Hopefully we take that as a learning opportunity to not let inferior teams hang around with us.

I wouldn't say inferior team, as much as coaching. When we went 3 and out after the second half interception, I knew we were toast.

Get an interception and then run sideline to sideline plays for no gain. Our offensive coordinators are not very smart...and that is putting it mildly.

Yeah when we ran the draw on 3rd and 12 at midfield after that huge break and chance to get back into the game, the F word flowed pretty hard for about 10 seconds here.
 
What was the score in the 4th quarter... 20-0
Eastern didn't go vanilla on play calling either

Wy the fuck can't we run our offense like that more often.
I don't understand the stubborn attachment to the predictable run...

Because coaches get all macho: "Time to show them who's boss!"

The Griz staff seems to have a bad case, but -- before we go overboard -- think about how often we see that attitude at all levels of football. If it mattered enough to me (it doesn't), I'll bet I could go find two or three examples of the same damn thing ... just from the games today.

The Griz had a chance to win the game near the end so I would say they did more than just make it look close late. At least most eagle fans on here showed you all match that field of yours, I did meet some classy eagle fans at the game though.

If you all play like you did in the fourth quarter you are going to get rolled and I am sure it will happen, maybe not until playoff time but if the Griz don't get revenge I bet the cats or bison will show you how "inferior" teams can not only hang around with you but beat you.
 
Maybe I didn't choose my words well. This was a really great game. I think it is good for the conference that these teams are legitimate rivals now. As much as I like to harass the grizz, they are still the standard bearers of the sky. It was a fun game to watch and well be for the foreseeable future.
 
based on what I saw today I am more convinced than ever that MSU and Cal poly will roll Eastern. And depending on how bad Cal Poly beat up Eastern with cut block, PSU may even beat them. Don't get me wrong EWU is better than the Griz, but the way the schedule works this year is not favorable to EWU and it is to the Griz, and the way matchups go those teams are better equipped to beat EWU. Wouldn't surprise me if EWU misses the playoffs and the Griz are in because of scheduling.

I don't think its too soon, but what I do think is the Griz shot themselves in the foot today a few times. EWU will make another run thru the playoffs. Lets just hope someone in the BSC knocks out SHSU. I'm gettin tired of hearing about them.
