Holden Ryan a Griz

This is a super get! This kid is big and very athletic. I can see him making plays on either side of the line of scrimmage... :egriz:

Plus who doesn't want a 6'3 215lb reciever coming outta high school??? This kid by the time he's an upper classman should be a 6'3 220-225lb reciever Ya I'll take that all day

About time we get one like EWU has been manufacturing for a few too many years. Let's hope Stitt proves to everyone he knows how to use big strong WR's. It would be nice to get 1 or 2 each year. :thumb:

Anyone named Holden in my book is a winner.. All jokes aside, this class can't get much better right? Especially, if we can get Daum to change his mind. Can't wait for signing day!

Bingham and Daum. And the rest of the verbals to come through...

Just watched Ryan's highlight video. Wow... That is what I'm talkin about! Dude is an impressive athlete.

Ryan and Sandry are the two best players in the state. Both will be starters on UM's defense in 2016. Bank on it. :thumb:

1. Ryan - 2. Sandry - 3. Daum

I am really glad Holden announced his decision and joined Griz Nation! Obviously he has the size. He has speed. Though his best attribute is he has fabulous football instincts. The kid knows when to cut, does so with great quickness, and has always had a nose for the end zone. Some have speculated we could play him at linebacker and he could do so well. Though I think we WANT him to have his hands on the ball. I hope we red shirt him next year. If so I believe you could see him make a solid contribution for the following four years.

With Dalton Daum turning away from the dark side I'd love to see them do the same with him and red shirt his first year. Now we just need to get the Simms kid to join in the party!
Go Griz! :ugeek:

It's apparent commits are a bit excited about where this program is headed in the near future. Good things are happening.....and that leads to even more good things happening.

Looks like a JC transfer playing against a junior varsity. He's a nice looking athlete if his size is accurate I think he's a Safety for us. He does have some soft hands but speed wise he didnt look like a rabbitt to me. Naccarato Burke & Janssen look like more the WR type to me.

This kid looks like a possible All American for us at Safety. One good looking athlete though.

The Griz are lucky to land Ryan. If Stitt is to have success, he has to land the best players in MT and he did that this year with Holden. They say he is coming in at WR but he can play either side of the ball. He is that talented! I have seen him play live many times and he is the real deal.

If only it were that easy... Daum is a great addition, no doubt. Woner why he wasn't offered a full ride from the get go?

we are excited to get a udub walk on? delaney has decided to stay? yay!

You do realize he is arguably the #1 high school football recruit in all of MT right? So yes, I'm excited to get the ttop recruit in MT.

my issue is with the choice of representation. why mention a piddly thing like that? it detracts from the message.

and as for you, grizatwerk... ick.
This kid was getting looks in the Pac-12 that's what was meant by it. This is the type of kid the Grizzlies need to sign EVERY year. I hope Daum follows him to Missoula.

I'll gladly debate who is the best state of Montana recruit after signing day. Discussing it now just seems a bit negative. I think we all want the recruiting period to be euphoric. All 3 of these guys are fantastic football players, and I am (as well as Griz Nation) is pumped to have them! :thumb:

But I will answer your question though. The very first thing new coach Bob Stitt did recruiting wise, on the first day after the quiet dead period in recruiting on Jan 4th, was offer Daum a full scholarship.

And coach said, “Stitt was really excited when Dalton told him the news,” Rich Daum said. “He said he feels like a mad scientist because of what he can do with that much speed at the ‘Z’ receiver.”

Daum received a full ride from msu, as did Ryan.

I think you're right Ryan would make a great safety. However, the kid has almost 50 touchdowns the past two years. He is a scoring machine! So my opinion is we should keep him on offense where he gets his hands on the ball. He has a nose for the end zone.

He won't beat Daum in the 100 dash (nobody does), but he has good speed. After watching him for years I see his real gift is his natural football instincts. Holden is not a little scat back, he is 6' 2" and 215 lbs. Yet he still has an ability to find a seam and the superior quickness to cut through it leaving defenders grabbing at air. Given a couple of years to adjust to the college level and I suspect we will be watching him do the same as a Montana Grizzly.

Anyone who hadn't clicked on his highlight tape should do so. You'll see what I mean. :ugeek:
