I will go ahead and defend Player Rep, he is a friend and I think he means well. That said, I have no idea what he may have said in the past. From my point of view, if there are only allegations then the player should not be suspended, however, if charges have been filed then you have no choice but to suspend the player until the criminal process is complete. I'm not sure if that fits what Player Rep said, but as a law student myself I don't think suspending players on mere allegations makes much common or legal sense.

I met Player Rep. He seems like a good guy. And, his love for Griz football is obvious. So when your coach and AD get fired...

sometimes when my kids are in trouble, I'll sit them down and talk to them about what they've done wrong and their punishment. Sometimes in this five minute ordeal, I'll say something like "I've told you 50 times that this is not acceptable."

At the end of the talking to, I'll ask if they understand what I've told them, and they reply, "Dad, you haven't told me that 50 times..."

If Engstrom didn't do this correctly it's going to cost the U millions. If he doesn't have something we all don't know about then he will lose and Oday and Pflu will be the ones laughing.

From what I'm reading and watching... Jim is very accepting of his dismissal and understands the landscape in which he exsists. Hate to tell ya, but coaches and AD's get fired everyday... and for far, far less... like losing a game, something their players DON'T got to jail for.

It's irresponsible and wrong to put football first, and this is where that road leads. I posed a question earlier this week, and I ask it again, WHERE WOULD WE BE RIGHT NOW IF WE HAD A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY FROM THE START?!!

The answer is, 3 to 4 years ahead of where you are today. It'll take that long to get back to this level of coaching and donor/booster commitment. For all the posters saying stupid things like "I hope Engstrom gets shitcanned and the University gets sued back to the stone age.", do you really believe your donors are going to be happy sending money to UM to pay for lawsuits? Really?? Well then, step right up, because they're going to need all the money you can bring.

UM is finally doing the right thing - cleaning up the mess. Look down the road to Bozeman, they went through similar circumstances a few years ago, and it was ugly. Now, MSU has a growing, successful program, and a new stadium. The only way to solve this problem is to change leaders, and instill responsibility from the top down. The Griz have lost their AD, headcoach, OC, DC, and 10 of 11 starters on their defense. I'm a cat fan, but I still like your chances to make the playoffs better than MSU's.

Our program will be just fine. Coaches and ADs don't play on Saturdays. After his first season as coach, many Griz fans would have helped Pflu load his U-Haul to leave Missoula. Now, these same pin heads think the sky is falling because he is gone. Lesson learned is...... sometimes you get what you wish for!
