Hermason in trouble...ugh

If only some of you knew what your most beloved Griz heros were doing Saturday nights after games. Good grief. Hermanson is the type of guy I want playing for the Griz. Just like the great ones that came before him

Other than the Friday night episode of "Cops" element to this story, Hermanson's transgression is a non-issue. If you spent anytime in a trailer park, anywhere in the USA, you'd know that having a shirtless, drunk, babbling, white dude vandalize some property, in the middle of the night on the weekend, is a pretty common occurance. C'mon on now everyone. Move on.

Like I said 17 pages ago...............the only reason people are holding Hermanson to a higher standard is because hes white.

Police often will breath test a "pedestrian" simply to check their alcohol
level and make sure that it's not at a dangerous level especially in college
towns because of binge drinking. Remember that Missoula PD was scrutinized
during the investigation and I'm sure they're leaving nothing to chance as far as
liability, ie. say they don't test him and he dies later of alcohol poisoning or passes
out in the middle of the road etc.

It is an issue because it shows he is not 100% dedicated to being the best football player he can be. Drinking that much during season is going to have a negative effect on performance. When hundredths of a second might mean getting to a ball, making a tackle or missing you can't be drinking like that and be 100%. And yes I know it was a weekend....that doesn't matter....look at research done on how alcohol affects an athlete.... Selfish...

Tell that to The Bambino...

No doubt. Now, if this isn't the look of a man who could start as a D-I safety over 80 years later . . . ;)

Or Bobby Layne. Bobby would drink before the game and still kick ass.

.......Ummmm, what is a "dangerous level?"

Florio ripped his shirt off and scratched the hell out of Hermy.

The cop was wrong......as he asked Hermy a question ...... Hermy thought he asked what school he played for. As usual cop was wrong! Should be fired.

No mention of the mascara and lipstick on his chest?

Truth is he was GOING to a party not leaving as the cop stated. Hells fire....Hermy was just getting started.

He will miss a game or so. Delaney is wondering why he was heading to a party? With his shirt off? The booze limit is of small concern as all Butte folks operate everyday at .01

Rambling Rose? Big Deal? Hell no! This will be over and done with quick as the boom on Saturday.......... so forget about it!

I think the question is why was he even given a breathalyzer if he wasn't driving?

Yeah that is an interesting question. Do the police give those tests for public intoxication tickets?

They try to and you dont have to allow it if you are not driving. The same way you do not need to show ID to a cop unless you are being detained. Cops always want to ask you for your ID and you dont need to give it to them...."just because".

Careful, you are giving legal advice that isn't quite true in Montana.

Never been arrested. Only know one person that has ever been so, a lawyer for DUI. Know a few that should've been arrested, but hey it's Butte. Anyone proud of the fact is an idiot.

You have lead a sheltered life. Know only one person who has been arrested. Are you also telling us that you know only one person who has gotten a dui? Don't know anyone who has been caught with pot. No one who got in a bar room brawl and got caught. No wonder you have the goody two-shoes attitude. You must not know people who have participated in protest movements. You must be unfamiliar with the earlier days of the labor movement, in Butte, Missoula and elsewhere. Must not know or care about people of color or modern day immigrants. Must not respect people around the world who are protesting for more freedom and getting arrested. Of course, you're the poster who has supported the Missoulian, UMass made a good decision by moving up, and said Will Cherry wasn't a good point guard--so what should we expect.

WTF? How does his post justify him being accused of not caring about people or causes? That seems like an unfair reach to me.

I agree with him, most people should not be proud of being arrested. I've never known anybody that was proud of their arrest record that wasn't a loser. I'm not sure if I buy that he only knows one person that has been arrested. I myself, have never been arrested, but have plenty of close friends that have been that I consider great people.

As far as Hermy goes, he did something stupid and embarrassed himself. He'll take his punishment and will be back better for it. I don't think what he did justifies much ridicule though...

I have him blocked so cant see his posts. Typical PR. He's still pissed I called the UMass move up when he said it would never happen. Of course being related to a member of the athletic department has its advantages. Now to address his attacks...

I said Will Cherry was one of the best 5 players of all time but that his numbers did not suggest he was a true point guard (which they never did), and that he would be hard pressed to make the NBA. Thats 1 for me, zero for him. I never said UMass moving up was a good decision, I said they moved up because the inner circle wanted to become part of the Big East eventually, and develop rivalries with BC, and CT. 2-zip. And yes I support the Missoulian, because creates jobs for many individuals in Missoula, and I feel is a better paper than the GF Trib or the Montana Standard. Not perfect, but the do cover things other than sports....I dont where rose colored glasses. Ordigger 3 PR Zip....I know it frustrates him cause he's never right....lol.

As for the rest of the blather, I do believe he just proved point....considering he's best arrested and all. Maybe my circle is just better, we don't get caught or arrested.

Tribune is 10 times the paper that the Missoulian is. You are 2 out of 3 at best. :thumb:

Seems Hermy's adult decision making abilities are as good as his pass coverage last year. It's as simple this, if he would have paid his ticket from speeding, he would not have had a warrant. Had he not had a warrant, the cops may have called the coach or a person in the athletic department to arrange restitution. This is not the crime of the century, hope he learns from it. On a personal note, my 15 year old son got a criminal mischief charge on him 13 years ago for smearing 2 catsup packets on a girls windshield. It was a $115 fine and some community service. Now that is very petty!

You are a horrible father who makes excuses for your undisciplined child. I hope your boy was run out of town and denied the ability to play high school sports....forever! ;)

Agreed.....anyone that would use a gateway condiment like ketchup has only just begun his reign of terror.

Thank God it didn't prevent him from getting Military Top Security Status, when he was in the Army. It also didn't prevent him from getting a job with the Kentucky State Courts System. He was questioned about the incident by both entities and they could not even believe that a criminal charge was issued for 2 packets of catchup on a windshield.

Any cop who would arrest a two-year-old is a dick!

Agreed

Knowing most cops....it was probably everything they could do to get the plastic handcuffs on that kid.

Wonder if there was a taser involved?

He was 15 years old he is now 28. The incident happened in GF 13 years ago.

Oh. Well why didn't you say so. You should watch your sentence structure. Be more clear. 8-)
