Henley booted from bubs after assault charges

Running the M is for being late to meetings, not getting to classes, having cell phone go off in meetings. I don't recall any partner assault for a player ever at modern day UM (or ever). Wilson supposedly sort of bit a girl's leg when she was laying across him in a car, and he was fined but not arrested. Some fights. Some dui arrests. The house burglary 3 never played another down for UM. An all-American corner supposedly waived a gun out of a car, and was kicked off the team. The guys caught hiding from the rain in a garage, remained on the team. Hauck is generally tough on legal issues. Johnson was acquitted of his charges.
My comment was tounge in cheek. I think when it comes down to it, both sides can agree there's been players that should've been and were kicked off their perspective teams. It's just what happens with a large enough sample size. You're going to have bad apples. And there's alot that don't come back that we don't even know got kicked off the team. They just aren't on the roster anymore. There's a couple of guys that are quasi famous that got kicked off a team but it wasnt ever reported. A politicians daughter's boyfriend got in a fight with a teammate over her, and people were kicked off a team.

My guess would be the player isn't an employee. Or at least hasn't been until the last year really. But a coach is. And everyone who's ever had to fire someone knows you better cross some t's and dot som i's. A student has to sign a code of conduct. So they can be held to it without extra noise. I don't know that coaches even have to sign whatever the clause is that teachers have to. The one they use to fire teachers tbay become strippers and what not.

So your assertion is that athletes are held to a code of conduct at MSDUI but not the men that are hired to lead them? That would seem pretty odd. Seems that most universities around the country fire coaches for DUI’s immediately without this due process thing. If innocent until proven guilty is the stance that MSU set forth 2 years ago then why kick him off. Under the code of conduct, don’t athletes get a chance to have a hearing before their student body representatives when the code of conduct is involved? Yeah he was sitting in jail over the weekend, but you had multiple coaches in the same predicament not long ago. Also, after their firing and day in court, what was the result?

Yes, there were clauses in the coaches contracts that would have let them be let go for conduct detrimental to the team. The administration and Vigen thought they had a real shot at a championship, and didn't want to lose their coordinators. This kid, though? No "due process."

I'll discuss whatever you want to discuss. I agree that it was disappointing that both coaches remained on the team. I had my doubts about WMG before he set foot on our football field and wasn't thrilled with the hire.
I think what was offensive wasn't the side you responded to. I like you and think you seem like a good dude, and I've said things I regret, but pretty ugly to insinuate that Griz players beat their girlfriend and then only have to run the M a couple times before it is swept under the rug. If you're going to make a claim like that, you should have some REALLY solid evidence, and there isn't any.

This situation was handled correctly by MSU. You cannot control a players behavior every second of the day. He’s gone and should be. Now, the way they handled their assistance coaches unlawful activities was a disgrace. It definitely sent the wrong message to players. No way to defend it if you are a rational and responsible person.

Uh, in defense of MSU, Tommy Mellot was not a thug. Lets not lump him in with a few bad eggs. MSU has had its problems for sure but most of their players like Grebe, Mellot and most others are good people besides being good players. Let the process play out and get rid of those who are guilty of punching women.

You can't provide one instance in which a GRIZ player was charged with domestic assault who remained on the team.

Now, there are places where assistants are able to collect their third (THIRD!!!!!) DUI (after already being fired by a program for cheating) to remain a salaried employee in charge of mentoring young men. But my hunch is you'd rather not discuss that place.
I can't remember the timeline of the two former griz players convicted of rape as far as remaining on the team but they left the team when they were sent to deer Lodge so maybe you're right.

Henley is not on the Gallatin County Jail Roster(or the MSU Football Roster). Looks like he got bailed out after a weekend in the can.

I have bubkim jim on "ignore" (HIIIIIIGGGLLLLY recommend). What kind of wild ass shit is he spewing now?
I don't want to even type it out because I don't want those words and the Griz associated any more, but he is insinuating that two Grizzly players committed an atrocious crime against women and were allowed to stay on the team.

Even though its been debunked many times, its easier for him to point to that than admit that there may be a growing discipline problem in the program to the east.

Two? Donaldson. Who else?
It was back in the 90's. You'd have to google his name. There was literally a book written about the rape culture with the UM football team. You shouldn't be throwing stones here about someone getting kicked off the team for spousal battery. Didn't Andy Petic

We could play tit for tat here but should we really go there?

The douchbaggery in that one is very strong.

I just googled it. Yer right only Donaldson did time in deer Lodge for rape. It was Jeremy Pate I was remembering. He went to deer Lodge for aggravated kidnapping. It was Andy petek that was convicted of spousal beating like the recent cats player.

Things that happen 20 years ago at another school justify things happening in the last couple of years at your school. Race to the bottom. Got it.

Not sure that I said anything about justification. Just pointing out that when you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw too many stones. And none of the things I referenced were twenty years ago.
