I 'll give you a little secret pal :) :) Every team ,every year, that plays, the Griz has Montana circled on the calendar. That game is their super bowl regardless of who they are or where they are from? ESPN made sure of that in the 2009 semi's when Montana beat App. State, in the snow bowl game here @ WGS. Montana was given the handle= "The "CROWN JEWEL" of FCS football. Teams can't wait to come to WGS and play in front of 26,000 people. It's the highlight of their college career!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bobby Hauck will only make it a better place, if that is possible? Go Griz! Eat your heart out Bozeman you don't have it and never will !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your posts hurt my eyes.

Well, I was at the Cat-Griz game and the Cats had all the swagger. Period. I hope to reclaim some tough-guy attitude when we meet again in Zoo Town. We needit find it...and fast. We have faded into the lower depths of FCS for too many years.

Attention to detail....mental toughness....on the field focus.....intensity on the sidelines....enthusiasm after big plays...heart

Those are the things that will be immediately noticed on Haucks team that will differ from Stitt's.

These are the things that Stitt preached all the time. The difference between Stitt and Bobby is, Bobby won't only preach it, his team will believe it and live it!

Exactly....Stitts teams rarely showed mental toughness or focus in my opinion. Sidelines were always dead as well.

After the past 6 years of softer, more finesse coaching the team is going to have to prove they have that toughness back. Other teams are not going to go into games next year they way they used to 6 to 10 years ago. That reputation was not built over night and it will not be this time around either. The team has to build that reputation back up before teams will start fearing the Griz again.

I agree with you. However, if Hauck's team in year 1 (or 2) were to come out significantly tougher, and able to come from behind, I think 2 things would happen. The team would get even more confidence, because they would believe that Hauck does have the magic. The press, and perhaps even some opposing coaches and some players, would also start to wonder if Hauck and his team are in fact bringing back the magic.

Having 2 very good QB's, a lot of good receivers (some of whom can hopefully become better blockers), several more than credible rb's, lots of big o-lineman that Germer has already been working with, at least one TE, and Green/Germer, should be a great start for the offense. I can't imagine Hauck and assistants won't be able to work out the D, but that seems more complicated. I assume Hauck is already working on filling holes, wherever they are, with a few transfers.

I think the biggest three things/differences we will see this year are Blocking, Tackling and plain good ole fashion hitting.

I agree, fundamentals were always strong during the BH years and something the Griz have sorely missed!!

Look Mrs. Stitt, I’m sorry that Bob lost his job but you’re going to have to get over it or you’re going to have a bad time. Eventually, you’ll just get old and bitter. Or more bitter, as the case most certainly seems to be.
