Hauck not staying retired redefines his legacy

IF he had said I am retiring to take a job at Illinois, I would be reacting differently. He lied. He goes on the record crying about how hard it is to be a head coach, doesn't want to deal with the Portal, NIL, how he is going to "go to the lake this summer"... yeah apparently he meant Lake Michigan and not Flathead lake. He is a hypocrite, that's why I am upset about it. It's like it's impossible for people to actually be truthful and honest. Also, he will poach a couple of our players. you can bet on that.

I get to watch the Bucks steam roll his defense in September so that will be fun. I won't be surprised if they hand 60+ on them.

Both posts here are spot on. Its been remarkable seeing the transition of the neggies in their hauck hatred. And to hear an elite coaching staff covet his 3-3-5 defensive coaching philosophy, that everyone hates so much, is even more hilarious.

Don’t see how he could retire to take Ill job. Timing not right. My friend got call from Bobby the first night and talked to him for an hour the next day. Never said or hinted about any new job. They are great friends. Bobby said he will be at lake in July. He doesn’t go to Flathead.

What about all the losses to the team Hauck refers to as “the neighbors”? It has been decades since a UM coach other than Hauck lost 3x to the neighbors, Hauck lost 8 times to the neighbors. 3x in past 14 months, 2x in the last year with one of them being in the semis to give the Cats a chance to win the chipper.

He didn't lose all the big games. He won most of them. You just want to define games he lost as the only big games.

What about it? What about the neighbors loses to the Dakota schools and to UM in 2023? I evaluate teams and coaches by their wins, not just by their losses.

And 13-2 is dominant. It just so happens that MSU has improved dramatically. UM would have won in Missoula this year but for a few tough breaks, then everything would have been different. Give Bobby some credit and wish him well. It’s the decent and gracious way to act.
