Hauck not staying retired redefines his legacy

I have decided my fellow Griz fans are idiots!!!!!!
First Hauck probably wanted to get out of the state and away from the Rivalry
No matter where he went in the state a Moron Griz fan would bring up the loses to the cats.
If no Griz fan was around an idiot Bobcat would be around to make a stupid esggcg chant!

Anyone with half a brain could look at the entire career Mr. Hauck had and realize he was a huge bonus to the Program!

My half of brain said 2.0. Of course, Griz fans will look at his entire career at the university. Bobby 2.0, whether it is fair or not, will be remembered as one runner-up in the national championship and 2-6 against the bobcats. Far cry from RTD in terms of the game that counts to so many of us, cat-griz. I would have more respect for what he did if he had said he resigned from the program. Instead, he made up a story that he was tired of what college football has become, so he's retiring.

Go Griz!

Coach Hauck, by taking the DC job in Champaign, Illinois, redefines his 2.0 legacy by losing to his heated rival twice in the same year, and that rival winning the national championship. Pretty sad ending in my book.
I don’t understand. None of those things changed? Those things happened independently of any decision he did or didn’t make. He didn’t say he was done with coaching, he just said he didn’t want to be a head coach anymore.

This has to just be a rage-baiting take

This shit is funny. Rainey is reporting Hauck instantly had a number of options to keep coaching, including NFL and others FBS.

Hauck literally says “I love football. I don’t know what I’ll be doing next or if I’ll be coaching somewhere else. But I do know one thing…I won’t be a head coach anywhere but here”

Then Egriz acts shocked, surprised, and hurt when he does exactly what he stated. Anyone thinking he wouldn’t go coach somewhere else wasn’t paying attention.

The only thing that surprised me in any of this was going the defensive coordinator route. I honestly thought he’d be jumping into the NFL within a week or two as a special team‘s guy.
Hiring him for the part of football he's weakest at it is pretty dang funny tbh.

Baloney. BH 2.0 will be remembered for saving UM football from the miserable Bob Stitt fiasco.

And 13-2 is dominant. It just so happens that MSU has improved dramatically. UM would have won in Missoula this year but for a few tough breaks, then everything would have been different. Give Bobby some credit and wish him well. It’s the decent and gracious way to act.

I chuckled at your first para and what Rainey had reported. As many of us have said all along, Hauck is and has been a very good and successful coach, was in demand by others before he left UM, and was obviously in demand the minute he left UM. Also, it appears from what was reported in the press was that Illinois was attracted to him because of the 3-3-5.

If going 2-6 against your biggest rivals is RTD, what was the UM during the streak and two national championships?

Like I said, giving Bobby credit for a job well done is the decent and graceful way to act. He resurrected the program. I believe all UM fans should act with class, thank him for a job well done, and wish him luck.

Is that so hard? Shouldn’t be.

NDSU won the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2024 FCS National Championships….thats dominance.

Prior to joining the FCS, NDSU won the 1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1990 Division 2 National Championships….thats dominance.

North Dakota State beat 9 FBS teams while they were an FCS school, notably taking down 6 Power 4 teams….thats dominance.

Thinking the program is now “dominate” while going 2-6 against your rival is flat out laughable.

How is this post a relevant response to Goat's post?

Go Griz!
Hauck had 4 NC runner-ups and was 7-8 vs MSU. If he was so unsuccessful, I wonder why his phone was blowing up with offers once he stepped down.

I encourage everyone to watch this press conference from NDSU's announcement yesterday and take a hard look at where we stand compared to them in vision, working relationships, goals, etc. . If they were truly the gold standard that we have been chasing, we have a hell of a lot of catching up to do.

Why don’t you find another team to root for? Sounds like you are very unhappy being a “Griz fan.”

I never wanted to be NDSU. They sure weren’t my gold standard. Which is not to say they weren’t extremely successful. I assume they have a good chance of competing well in the MW. I hope they enjoy their bowl game.

True Griz fans would thank Bobby for a job well done and wish him well in his new opportunity. I am very sorry that he left but I fully understand his reasoning. I also expected him to get another opportunity very quickly as he was not done coaching, he just did not want to be a HC
