This weeks coaches show Hauck was very complimentary of Vigen.Ifanse, and Anderson. When asked about the e-mail stating a fan wanted anderson to break Haucks Femor , Coach said it was overboard and that Kids like Anderson would never want something like that to happen. He seemed very upbeat and has a good relationship with Riley on air.

Has MSU ever had a head football coach who's both an alum of MSU and Montana native? If MSU ever hires one, that coach and his interactions with the media and relative to UM might be slightly different. Do any MSU fans understand this?

Thanks. Not at all aware of Sonny's take on the Cat/Griz....Griz/Cat rivalry but have to expect that it was a bit more personal to him than any Bobcat coach since. And for sure it is to Hauck. I know former players on both sides.......lots of respect but not much love among any that I've ever been around. Most of them act a lot like Bobby when the other school/team is mentioned.

Third, do you really think location has anything to do with TV viewership? College fans that watch game day watch it with regularity. I guarantee the ratings for game day are pretty consistent week in and week out.

It has more (100%) to do with the administration than Bobby's choice. Bobby still has fire in his belly for the Cats. I'm glad it's toned down though.

Granted, they do count on good crowds for the game that's going to play where they happen to be. But that's not really their draw now. Now ... it's an event in its own right, with its own fans.

In presser, Hauck said MSU has beat Griz last 2 times. Hmm, OK. I guess he is referring to MSU games he coached in '18 and '19, and not the '16 and '17 games.

Kinda funny, their idolizing Sonny Holland. Yes, former player. Seven whole years as HC, record of 47-24-1. They erect a statue of him outside their latest stadium add-on. Their spring game is named for him. Expectations are different in Missoula. The eGriz poster who has the signature 'When we have a winning season, we are disappointed. When they(the place to the east)have a winning season, they throw a parade' is right on target.
