Las Vegas stadium sure isn't a loser. Stadiums and their financing sources are varied. Posters who know nothing about business should refrain from posting on subjects like this, and getting their politics in the way, is my view.

So are you counting on Wa-Griz to hold CONCACAF tournament finals, two bowl games a year, and a weekend set from Taylor Swift?

Thing is, Sheldon Adelson had all sorts of plans to drop UNLV marks in the stadium. The NFL basically told him to drop dead. He kind of did. Meanwhile, the away fans often outnumber Raider fans in Allegiant… and that’s probably WHY Vegas makes so much money off the place.
 
Montana is debt free and has a $2.5B surplus. Could the legislature take 1% and split it between UM and MSU to use?

Actually, I was addressing this comment: "Glad someone pointed this out. It's always a loser for the taxpayers.", which I commented on. My first sentence was: "Las Vegas stadium sure isn't a loser."

If this happens, it will get that much harder to watch and enjoy FCS football. This subdivision is already an absolute joke, and when NDSU leaves it will become depressingly obvious how much of a joke it really is. Boy does it make me nauseous seeing other teams take the leap that UM rightfully should have already taken

I don't see FCS as a joke. The number of good teams is a bit lower this season, but there were a lot of good teams last season. The Big Sky doesn't have as many good teams this season either. Things are changing much more in the last year or so, than in the past. Maybe there will be an opportunity or reason to move on; maybe not.

I find that most teams that move up just disappear into thin air. I don't follow any of them, except Boise State. JMU has been fairly successful, but I don't watch or follow them. I see Georgia Southern is 6-3 this year. I don't pay any attention to them. I see App St's name sometimes, but don't pay attention to them. They are 4-4.

If UM moves up, or has to move up, fine. However, I see that mostly as just moving into oblivion, having night and mid-week games, and giving up the playoffs. My favorite part of UM football and FCS football is the playoffs.

I’m calling it a major exception to the rule. The fact that none of what I mentioned will end up in Missoula kind of matters in this discussion. Most cities aren’t making the kind of cash Vegas will make, and a lot of that is very Vegas.

Just another aside… Washington-Grizzly could never host a real soccer match just because of the field width. Of course, that’s part of the claustrophobic charm (from an away fan POV) of your stadium for football.

While I agree that a majority of the former FCS teams disappear from the so-called FCS limelight. I don't see them rushing back to the FCS, why do you think that is?
