I heard he wants to bring Bobby with him.
Blake Anderson is pretty well entrenched, currently having a down year after a great first year. Interestingly, Hartwell is moving back to Arkansas without a job yet. Anderson is also from Arkansas.

I think this plays into the resignation and could play into more.

All not well in Logan.

Well if I thought we could hire somebody that would have the balls and administrative support to stand up to both BH and TDC I would hope the short list only has his name on it. Sadly those two would probably head up a new recruitment committee. Somedays it can just seem hopeless. Certainly a package deal to Utah State would cheer me up but I'm not getting my hopes up as we know the credibility and/or sadistic cruelty of the person who brought that up..

I know Blake the head coach, you cannot even mention the idea of the UofM Head Coach to this caliber of a coach at this level. Blake and his agent negotiated his contract to run to 2027. His Tenure of being a coach @ Arkansas and Utah State has an upward growth path unlike the coach at UofM.

A win win situation for UM. Kill two birds with one stone.

It’s crazy how many people forgot how shitty this program was before Bobby came back.

Exactly. It would suck to lose hauck, and I hope hoops isn’t serious about hearing rumors about Haslem bringing him along. Bobby coming back has been huge. He breathed life back into the Griz program. He may need a new coordinator or two, but we would be hard pressed to find a better head coach than Bobby.

What's wrong with Decuire? He's a great guy and a good coach. Not sure why you're unhappy with him.

As far as Bobby, we're lucky to have him. I know people are always quick to blame the coach when things aren't going well (some warranted, some not) however let's put this into perspective for a minute. We were a blown call away from beating the #2 team in the country on the road in a game where our starting QB was knocked out of the game. Then one week later, you stay out on the road taking on the #5 team in the country who was coming off a really humiliating loss themselves with a backup QB who can't punch his way out of a paper bag, and only lose by 3. You have your starting QB in both of those games, you run away with both of them easily IMO. Now granted, I disagree with Bobby's decision to stick with KB at backup QB, but I don't think the O-line has been anywhere near as bad as several posters on this board have proclaimed it to be. We will literally have 4 starters returning to the team next year on the line (assuming they all stay). Now as for assistant coaches screaming at the players, I personally don't have a problem with that depending on the scope and severity of it. I had a Basketball coach who used to scream all the time, and nobody ever quit because of it. Now if they scream more in the sense that it's verbal abuse, then that's a completely different story and should be addressed.

Now for Kent. If this is his dream job, then he should take it. Logan is home for him, his family is there, and I would not blame him if he wanted this job. That said, this does not feel like a step up. Feels much more like a lateral move. USU does not have anywhere near as good of facilities, fan base, tradition, and even programs as good as UM, but in Haslam's eyes there are lots of other reasons to take this job.

As for UM, I know Greg Sundberg just got promoted to Deputy AD in the Spring. Whether or not he would want the job I don't know, but I will say that he's got a great personality, he's extremely well like by the staff and boosters, and that man can flat out fundraise. If he were to want the job, I think he'd be a great choice, but I would also be open to bringing in a new voice with new perspective and new leadership. I think that could do us a lot of good, and I think Bodnar could do a pretty good job of hiring someone potentially young and energetic that could really take the department to new heights.

We'll have to see how it all shakes out.

Professionals the quality of Haslam, Hauck and DeCuire do not grow on trees and would be very difficult to replace at this university so think about what you're saying. All three have an impressive body of work. Haslam's accomplishments in growing the AD in the face of UM enrollment decline and cost reductions are to be lauded. The Stitt hire the only obvious mistake. He is a very attractive AD candidate.

Perhaps. That former player Maddox sounds like a huge asshole to me. Recording football meetings and disclosing them?

I remember Kent was on the short list last time the AD job came open. In speaking with him in that go round I know he wanted to go back to Logan. This time, not so sure especially with the shit show that’s in Logan right now if the newspaper accounts are correct.
His taking Hauck with him, not a chance for many reasons to many to get into here.

Whether Maddox was right or wrong doesn't make the rest of the story okay.

I was commenting only on Maddox. Huge asshole. I made no comment on anything else.

It would be easy as hell to replace Hauck. He hasn’t done sh@t for this program since his return except act like a complete a$$.

There are a lot of people out there who could coach the Griz to a 2 -3 conference record in year 5 with a hell of a lot more class.

I guess I just like coaches that have some realization that a good defense requires an offense not stuck in two decades ago thinking. Thats what I see in both of them. I wouldn't be sad to see them both go but thats just my way of thinking. Not really that hard, especially if you are UM, to find quality replacements. Think Idaho with way more to offer; also refer to a sixth choice FB coach a little further southeast. If you like what's going on and think that both BH and TDC deserve contracts for life because of some past success and being a "great guy" (well not in Hauck's case cause he's an ahole) and being in the top tier of the conference of 13 but not at the top - well that's you. I like change when things are obviously not working the way they were envisioined. It's not like we would be throwing away championships or anything like that.

Seems they struggled to replace him last time.

Yes they did because they had to deal with the scandal and sanctions that he left behind. Did Stitt’s offense ever put up 114 total yards?

Did Stitt ever win 10 games at UM? And I would argue that your "scandal and sanctions" comments is grossly exaggerated.
