I have it on good authority that with the expectation of a win this week and with a win over MSU next week in the Brawl, a one year extension will be given to Delaney during Thanksgiving week, to run through January 31, 2016. Ouch!
Not only will MD announce his retirement, maybe by next week, but I have it on good authority that Baldwin is interested in bringing his magic to a real University.

If the Baldwin thing is true I might throw a party in your honor Kemajic!

Mick is gone after this year. The last three years of his salary is calculates for State pension and I'd say Mick is going to make out like a bandit. He'll get what University Presidents get!
Sorry, that's not the way it works. If he was on a teacher's pension brior to the rehire three years ago, they would add the three years to his total to calculate the pension. He should probably have the last five years averaged for his new pension, but if they cheat, they will add it all together and use the lase three years to calculate an average. If he had no pention from the U system prior to the rehire, he will get nothing. You have to be vested (5 years) to get a pension.

He's been with the U before and had time at Western, he's vested.

After the win today, they went ahead and inked the deal there in Cedar City. :(

Many years at MSU....

How about this guy as a new coach? http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/story?storyId=11885343&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B%22ref%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%22%7D&ex_cid=sportscenterTW" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rick Neuheisel and Dennis Erickson are probably available, too.

Mick just needs a couple more years to get all of his recruits in place... :clap:
And the finishing touches on his pioneering offense.

So it's kind of like Obamacare? "There have been a few bumps along the road, but when it gets rolling, you're going to LOVE it".

Good analogy. I have more hope for MK's offense.... at least he doesn't lie.

that's funny

Don't laugh. With the Signing Day hoopla that Griz fans have witnessed on this board over the last three years, Outlaw might be serious.

If he was going to announce his retirement, and as hav says, his players would run through the gates of hell for him....this week might be a fine time to announce it...

That's a very good point Stubbins. I'd also suggest bringing back that total Die Hard Delaney supporter, Alex Bienemann for the pre-game speech for good measure. LOL.

Well, if we're talking possibilities ... I have it on weak authority (BSU fan) that Dan Hawkins is not happy with his TV gig and wants to re-start his coaching career. You may recall he made his mark at Boise, crashed and burned at Colorado, and ended up doing TV commentary. (I seem to recall that he had a cup of coffee in Canadian pro football, but I'm not sure about that.) Anyway, this Boise fan claims he likes the UM idea because he could be a head coach for a well-known program, and then jump back into an FBS program -- such as Boise again.

Hawkins could be s good fit at UM as long as he doesn't have any more sons to "force feed" for the QB position. "It's D1 Football Brother"....
