in other words, you support mediocrity at um that is led by bh, but not by anyone else.
I'll support a consistent winning record (116-34, 67-18 BSC, playoffs 10 of 11 years, 3 trips to the NC) every time. Teams that play hard every year, players that are successful in life. A program whose revenue is critical to a struggling University, 19,000 season ticket holders. You were educated enough to know the definition of mediocrity; you should find another word to describe people you don't like, it doesn't apply here.

stitt had a consistent record before he came to montana, at a tough school to recruit.

Here's the thing, at that level every school is hard to recruit to and there's not any really good players. He didn't even do that good there. Stitt was in over his head when he came here. A d2 coach at best. The only reason he was even as successful as he was(wasn't even close to successful) was due to Delaneys recruits.

Stitts motto for winning was: recruit qbs and wrs, completely disregard the rest of the team.

You aren't going to win many games when you're only trying to recruit 2 positions.

Mines has been far better since he left.

Stitt 110-62 (.640)
Since 72-18 (.800)

Why do you still have a boner for Stitt all these years later? You’ve got to be the only one.
Have you ever meet the guy?
Doesn’t he sell umbrellas or something now?

I wasn't trying to compare SAC to the Griz...I was just questioning why anyone would be satisfied with last season and not consider it a down year.

Quite honestly, I don't think most were satisfied.

Who was satisfied with last season?

Was any SS fan satisfied with their playoff performances in any year?

I don’t know, and never saw, anyone Griz fan who was satisfied.

Truth. There is a difference between being satisfied and wanting to fire the coach. Something to do with track record, progress, and hope.

Fair point. What was Mines’ record before he took over?

Please go on record now, to say if you will still support Hauck 2.0 if we finish 4th or lower in the Big Sky next season. I'll wait.

As long as the Griz win 2/3 of their games and go to the playoffs, I will support whoever the coach is. Larry Donovan was the coach when I attended UM and I learned to appreciate what fan despair really feels like.

BH is an outstanding coach and attracts excellent assistant coaches. He cares about UM. He has been successful here. Give it a break. The team has talent and we’ll see quality games played by dedicated student athletes. The Griz will win games. There are too many whining, fair weather fans on eGriz.

I'll send you your participation trophy. Oh, and I'll using overnight shipping.

please tell me how stitt wouldn't have done better if all his no. 1 qb's hadn't had significant injuries during his time at um. i'll wait.
Stitt was never going to care about defense or special teams; his only way to win was his "special" offense. This just in; QBs get hurt and miss time. That's when it's good to have excellence in defense and ST that can enable you to win 8 games and playoff win even in a bear schedule year.

I see you don't have the nads to go on record and address my question. Figures. Quite sure, after another tepid finish next season, you'll roll out Bobby's archaic record from many years ago. Not that football ever changes over the decades, huh?

The reality is that there a lot of boosters and QB Club members that are far from satisfied with Bobby's recent performance. The fact is that Bobby set a standard for himself that he simply hasn't lived up to. There is also a growing sense of dissatisfaction with Haslam (as there should be). With another season like the last one, the drum beat will be very hard to ignore.

Almost every member of QB Club is satisfied with Hauck, supports him and likes him.

I heard the same from many while I was attending the spring game, but then again I was among the masses of regular guys and not jocksniffing suckups.

Griz fans expect perfection. There were a couple times when Griz fans were almost satisfied. As I recall, it was the 1995 and 2001 seasons. But, I didn't take a poll at the time, so I guess it is just an assumption on my part. :thumb:

I can't even imagine anyone being unsatisfied with or unsupportive of Bobby with his most recent success and sincere, kind, magnetic personality.
