Haslam have Bobby on the phone yet?

Haslam will never higher Bobby or Brent Pease for that matter. Once upon a time Mr. Haslam was somewhat of an intern at NAU when Bobby and Brent were there. They treated him not so well. Kind of like a waterboy. It's called Karma. I truly hope I am wrong. Guess we will see.

This is gold. Deserved a revisit.

Did he really hope he was wrong?

Okay, I've visited here for years and never posted, but that is just a lie. Go look at their time at NAU. Hauck was there 93-94. Haslem was living in Salt Lake and working for baseball teams at that point. I don't know what year Haslem arrived at NAU to earn his masters, but he graduated in 2004. Pease was there as OC for one year in 99-2000. Their paths may very well have crossed, I don't have any knowledge of that, but there is a zero percent chance that Hauck and Pease were ganging up to bully Haslem at NAU.

I wouldn't want someone to come on here for the first time and believe that crap is true. People need to get a life. I've been around Hauck and Haslem briefly at a QB club event. I did not in any way feel like there was a bully/victim vibe between them.

UM football is in very able hands with BH.

Please go on record now, to say if you will still support Hauck 2.0 if we finish 4th or lower in the Big Sky next season. I'll wait.

Please tell us now where UM would have finished if our no. 1 qb hadn’t gotten hurt for SS and Weber and had been relatively healthy the whole season. I’ll wait.

please tell me how stitt wouldn't have done better if all his no. 1 qb's hadn't had significant injuries during his time at um. i'll wait.

Stitt was never going to care about defense or special teams; his only way to win was his "special" offense. This just in; QBs get hurt and miss time. That's when it's good to have excellence in defense and ST that can enable you to win 8 games and playoff win even in a bear schedule year.

As long as the Griz win 2/3 of their games and go to the playoffs, I will support whoever the coach is. Larry Donovan was the coach when I attended UM and I learned to appreciate what fan despair really feels like.

BH is an outstanding coach and attracts excellent assistant coaches. He cares about UM. He has been successful here. Give it a break. The team has talent and we’ll see quality games played by dedicated student athletes. The Griz will win games. There are too many whining, fair weather fans on eGriz.

With no TE to block and less involvement of RBs in protection, Stitt’s teams were destined to go three and four deep at QB every year because of injuries, especially with lack of emphasis on D and ST. I would hate to see Ah Yat starting this year.

in other words, you support mediocrity at um that is led by bh, but not by anyone else.

Stitt would have done slightly better, but he still wouldn't have been successful and would have been moved on. He was fortunate to have a good backup qb his last season. Way too many people close to the program didn't like him and didn't support him. He thought he knew everything and everything had to be his way. He wouldn't have been able to raise the necessary money. He didn't recruit well in Montana or in various established areas, one being Bellevue High. No UM coach who finishes about 33d in the nation, for whatever reason, is going to last very long.

Hauck has had 1 down year (4 years ago), in 11 seasons. He's been very successful and will continue to be successful.

Yeesh, can you imagine if folks are like they are now back when Don Read was coaching? He might not have ever made to his dominant years if the folks that consistently squawk have their way.

Sounds to me like you were satisfied with the results of last season, otherwise you're going to have to define "down year".
I figured most people would consider last season a down year for the Griz and not "very successful".

I'll support a consistent winning record (116-34, 67-18 BSC, playoffs 10 of 11 years, 3 trips to the NC) every time. Teams that play hard every year, players that are successful in life. A program whose revenue is critical to a struggling University, 19,000 season ticket holders. You were educated enough to know the definition of mediocrity; you should find another word to describe people you don't like, it doesn't apply here.

Hornets have had 3 good seasons. Let me know when you can equal Hauck's record over 11. You're not close yet.
