This goes to show what is more important. I choose the griz over on last beer. Are you a griz fan or a drinking socializing fan?

"Nay, Yukon said, thou shalt not miss a single play of second-half Grizzly football to consort with thine drunkard associates over a libation; for thine cannon boom signifies the coming of football, and he who shall ignore it shall be smote from Grizzly fandom." - Yukon 3:16

bravo, sir!

Maybe Pelosi,Reid,Baccus,Tester, and president Obama, could add legistration to the "Affordable Care Act." to solve this situation.

all the "good fan" police need to get over the fact that people don't make it back to their seats by the start of the second half. it is legal, and no matter how badly you want to do so, you can't make a citizen's arrest. it is time to worry about other things, like whether wa-griz is loud or cold enough.

I thought "tailgaiting" was a faux pas when trotting horses race...learn something new every day and am blessed when I do.

O'K for all of you who think the crowd should be back in their seats, which is worse, not coming back from halftime for the third quarter start or leaving early if the game is decided? 6 of one; half dozen of the other!

Not really, in one case the game is undecided. That said if you buy a ticket it's your right to tailgate the whole second half if that's your choice.

It is a bit sad that the barn was half full for the second half kickoff, but that's just me. :thumb:

You guys are wasting your f.....g breath here. The restrooms won't accommodate 10K simultaneously using the pissers and getting food and beverages.(see the man pee in the cup??) The comment about the NAU game being a "fault" of the "suds" crew is a totally asinine...(they had a 75 yd. t.d. run where Bauman wasn't even "F.....g touched) just look in the mirror and say that to yourself.(is someone going to hold our hands in N.D. in 2 weeks  ) The stadium is not currently capable of housing us all if you close the exits at halftime either...another short sighted comment.(we'll be stepping on each others dicks in a n.y. minute...with mayhem to follow soon) Separate drinking areas would have to be designed and built if you close the pearly gates. This is also not what is arbitrary with the R.V. renters and tailgaters currently in their annual agreements. These are "lofty" goals when you consider how abysmal the G.S.A. beer garden is performing currently...   :egriz:

Einstein, the 75 yarder was the first play from scrimmage, beside the point. The Griz turned it over twice in the red zone in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter resulting in 10 points for NAU. Did they lose because of the lack of fans in the seats certainly can't say that, would have been nice to have our 12th man there to support the D, I'd say yes because those of us that do the NEZ and mostly are back by 2nd half kickoff unlike the rest of the barn.

I don't know the bs about selling beer in the stadium, but it would help this problem and the Griz fan support.

O.K. I'll make it short and simple...We had NO answer for Bauman
ALL day long. (#37 was on his back a ton as they ran over the 2 and 4 gap like taking candy from a baby...) Changing selling beer in the stadium involves a complete about face of LOGISTICS... :egriz:

First Half:
1 carry, 75 yards (TD)
1 carry, 2 yards (punt)
1 carry, 1 yard (punt)
1 carry, 0 yards (turnover on downs)
4 carries for 5, 8, 0, 2 yards (TD)
2 carries, 1, 9 (punt)
1 carry, 2 yards (punt)
Halftime - So, at half he had 105 yards in 11 carries...75 coming on one play.
1 carry, 12 yards (TD)
1 carry, 4 yards (FG)
6 carries for 2, 12, 0, 1, 5, 4 yards (FG)
4 carries for 4, 3, 5, 20 yards(TD)
1 carry, 5 (punt)
4 carries for 13, 57, -1, 2 (TD)
1 carry, 0 yards

He ended the game with 253 yards. He got 177 of them on 5 carries.

Was there some sloppy play? Sure. Were there some missed tackles? You betcha. But to say we had "no answer" for him is just not a factual statement. For 24 of his 29 carries we INDEED had an answer for him. Outside of his one long run to open the game, he got just 30 more yards in the first half. It wasn't until our OFFENSE started shitting the bed and going 3-out or turning the ball over that the defense got gassed and he ran over them in the 2nd half. It's not a coincidence that his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th longest runs from scrimmage were in the 2nd half of the game.

Just look at the TOP on the 2nd half "drives" (and I use that term VERY loosely) and how they ended (and WHERE the ended!) and it's plainly obvious what the issue was.

Just over 9 minutes of possession in a 30 minute half. THAT, my friend, will exhaust ANY defense...oh, and throw in 3 INT's and 2 fumbles lost and you have a fairly predictable result. ANd despite ALL that, we only lost by 10. I, for one, am looking for sweet revenge against Bauman and NAU this year. 8-) 8-) 8-)

AZ...no problem here. I respect you as a poster on this board and you have some solid comments. We've won 85+ % of our games here at my estimation in wa-griz. I don't have the time to look up how many we've lost by a margin by 10 pts or better but it has to be scant. I'll be in flagstaff for the nau game this year and I hope we throttle their ass as you do. Our q.b. position is solidified and has made EVERY griz better off this year. :D :egriz:

If you really think the number of fans in the stands coming out of halftime honestly affects the players then obviously.........

.....wait for it......

......you have never played the game.
