Love to see Selle as QB coach with Pease as OC. Bobby and Brent were college roommates.

Wouldn't be suprised in the least bit if Pease is the OC. I read or heard somewhere that Pease really wanted to come back to UM and would be willing to be OC if he didn't get the HC job.
You heard right.

I am thinking there is someone on the SDSU staff that Bobby is going to try and bring with him.
Could explain the "after the new year" comment; after a bowl game.....

DC is up in the air. He is going to have to get someone from another program unless he want to take a chance wit BF and surround him with an experienced staff.
Since it's not clear who "wit BF" could involve, I doubt he wants to take that kind of chance.

And not just the SDSU bowl game...

Times 110! His green cap proved that he NEVER was a Griz!

He wore it to honor a coaching friend who died. That man wore a red hat for his defenders to be able to find him on the sideline. Bob continues that by wearing green for his QBs to find him.

True but a green wrist band would have served the same purpose.....just felt like it was "in your face" behavior.

What was "in your face" about it?

His friend wore a hat and chose a color that would stand out so his players could find him quick on the sideline. Stitt did the same as a blend of honoring the guy and using it as part of his style. A wristband? That would accomplish neither.

I really don’t get this “he’s throwing it in our face” narrative. It’s a green ball cap. That’s all

Griz Nation is apparently getting soft and easily offended in it's old age Brint.

In your face probably wasn't the right thought. Not very many coaches at any level feel like they have to wear a different colored hat for the players to see them on the sideline. I can understand the "honoring a person thing" - just don't think it's appropriate to wear something other than Griz stuff on the field.

Rosie or Pease as OC

Keeping most of current offensive assistants, if not all

Breske as DC and a wildcard...Tim would have been 3 years ago...Thompson in line for NAU head coach so that shipped has sailed...

Shann
Would love Branden Fisher as linebackers
DL and corners i bet are wildcards

I had exactly the same thought. But that does not necessarily mean he is waiting for the SDSU bowl game, wherever that turns out to be. The conference has an agreement with the Arizona Bowl (Dec 29), but that slot will presumably go to Boise or Fresno State. There's a complicated scenario that might get them into the Foster Farms Bowl (Dec 27), but all of the other possibilities take place before Christmas.

So the "New Year" reference could well refer to coach(es) who might be involved in one of the big bowls. Several top Pac12 teams come to mind, but I'll bet Hauck has contacts at several others teams that will be in bowls on or after New Years.

Maybe someone from SDSU? Would be interesting to see the 3-3-5
We’re 2 years or a shit ton of transfers from being able to run a 3-3-5.

He’s short and needed to be visible from the sideline. That is all.

Breske at DC would be cool.

Regardless, have total faith in Hauck to put together the best staff possible.

I’m thinking by Monday we get some official word on some of the assistants staying on. Makes sense so they can start recruiting now. Fairly certain Green and Germer will stay on.

All these comments about hoping Breske comes here surprise me. He is currently the DC at Idaho. His contract as of two years ago paid 130,000. Sorry, but we don’t pay that well for assistants. His pay is closer to our head coach pay. I highly doubt Breske would leave Idaho for a pay cut. Also, Breske had two stints in Montana with Glenn and with Pflu, but he has no real connection to Hauck.
