We need far more admonitions like “stop it” on this site. Not that anyone is likely to follow them but it’s a great sentiment.
This obviously wasn't the one vs. Sac State with
9 minutes left in 2nd quarter Griz down 7 - 3....Sac going for it from the 45 yard line on 4th and 7. Ford intercepted it (diving to the ground) and Griz began their drive from their own 19 (not the 45!). That was the actual circumstance of the play.
Sac had false started on 4th and 2 from the 40 and still went for it on 4th and 7. The interception worked out better for Sac than a punt to the end zone and cost the Griz 26 yards. At that point in the game it was big field position play.
Griz went three and out....punted.....Sac went up 14 - 3 on their next drive.
