We are clearly addressing the need for a corners....with 1 transfer so far and 2 freshmen coming in. Kicker might work out....all the guys are new so give it a spring at least. So you are arguing over 3 maybe 4 scholarships, and you don't even know the scholarship situation for all the WRs.

Stitt muscled Ty out of Missoula, upgraded the DL after losing a lot to graduation, and had a huge success with defensive players in last seasons recruiting class. It appears Stitt understands the importance of having a quality defense. He also likes a lot of talented wide receivers. He's doing a good job assembling talented players and managing his staff.

Blah blah blah. I don't value futures. I want to see results on the field, and will the paper hype to guys who get off on such stuff.

So you don't value upgrading the talent at each position group and managing the depth chart properly?

Recruiting, and coaching, have no relevance. Some great coaches can win with inferior talent. Some great recruiters (like Mark Richt and Mack Brown), are great recruiters, but can't win the big ones even with superior talent. As I said, the book is still out on Stitt. While most on here have already lauded him with greatness, I remind everyone about his losing to Weber and Poly at home because of coaching gaffs. I am willing to give him the 2016 season to see if he improves.

As far as "managing the depth chart", as long as you love wide receivers, he is O.K. Kickers, punters, and CBs, not so much.

And, please remember that we came one miraculous miscue play by ISU from losing another game to Idaho State, which would have prevented us from making the playoffs.

Last year we suffered from a massive Delaney hangover. No blaming Stit for that. This year's roster moves that, like Alka-Seltzer, help start the healing. By next year Stitt will have his team virtually all around. Let the true analysis begin there.

Seriously. how cam ANYONE who knows jack about Grizzly football support a coach who loses at home to freakin' Weber state, Cal Poly, and should have lost to Idaho State??? The cumulative records of those three teams was 12-21. We had loads of talent last season, including the FCS defensive player of the year, three great LBs, and three great WRs. Yet, we lost to these teams?????

FCS can divided scholarships in many different ways. That's why you see Stitt doing exactly what he had to do at his previous school in Colorado. Finding Great Athletes that will get academic scholarships also. It allows for greater flexibility and deeper 2nd and 3rd string players.

An example is Lamarriel Taylor from UMass. By all reports the guy is a brilliant student. I am quite sure that his academics have taken can of most if not all of the scholarship money he will receive.

So those 20 WR, might only account for 10 to 12 scholarships, or less if there are walk-ons involved.

Think it has already been established that Stitt is adding back a TE spot for @ least some of the offense this season. Ralston seems a bit too big to be the slot guy.

Calm down Atlanta. Coach Stitt is doing a great job at this point by getting players he needs via the MENTAL ROUTE. We have far more kids on our team this season with tons of football skill along with being excellent in the classroom. This is a far reaching idea that is all Stitts. Smart. Last year he made first year mistakes. This is a new season. Get in the game!
