Griz vs Washington

Griz shooting lights out! 15-21 overall and 9-15 from 3. It's 42-36 at halftime. Gregory with 15 points (5-5 from 3 point range), DeShields with 12 (5-7fg, 2-4 from 3), and Jamar with 8 including a big three towards the end of the first half to give the Griz a 6 point lead.

With both teams shooting so well there haven't been a lot of rebounds so far. Griz have 6 rebounds (all 6 defensive) and Washington has 12 (7 defensive, 5 offensive).

Guessing both teams cool off considerably in the 2nd half.
 
If I were to make any predictions regarding the remainder of this season... based upon the outstanding first half of hoops by the Griz tonight... I'd have to say that coach Tinkle has committed himself & his team to small ball going forward. Working so far.
 
Griz looking good, but I really doubt they will keep hitting shots at the rate they're hitting them. Really need to make free-throws this game. Weird how it always seems to be an issue at the beginning of the year, but then goes away around conference play...

No kidding. I really hope they continue this lights out shooting...hell, get Gregory another 5 or 6 threes and lets win this one going away while not having it come down to FT's made or missed.

He dogged it a couple times rotating in the zone allowing uncontested threes
 
When a team shoots as many 3's as the Griz have tonight, you would think just once they would get an offensive rebound...one is all I ask for.

Good Christ. A whistle every time the Griz are near a Washington player. Credit UW for forcing the contact. They've shot 14 free-throws to Griz's 6.
