Griz Vs. Rainbow Warriors

What a game!!! GRIZ and Weber State are both capable of an upset in the NCAA tournament. Will someone listening please post Tinkle's comments in the post game interview. I cannot hear it online, thanks the stupid internet streaming rules we deal with.

Hard to believe Hawaii only shot 55.9 % from the Free Throw line (19 - 34), not going to win too many games doing that. Only 67.4 % for the season (FTs) while hitting only 32 % of their treys. :ugeek:

Our guys bring our lunch pails every day.

Heck of a job by Kareem.

We shot well, missed too many layups, not happy wiht how we finished. Our best BB is in front of us.

Derick did a good job on their 7 footer.

All around great focus. 8-0 on fast break points.

Tinks appreciates the crowd. Our group is mature. They're going to react positively to big crowds. Our players expect great things.

It's been a nice stretch. 15 of 16. Now we need to get back and focus on conference play. We'll stay focused.

I don't care if you're msu, or weeebs, or the NCAA 3 seed: I would NOT want to face this Griz team right now.

Thought HI was one of the better teams they've played this year.

Credit to the coaching staff; kept telling us to stay classy in a physcial game.

Staff stressed all week to treat it as a conf game. Wanted to keep the momentum going. Mo is big for the team and is great for the chemistry.

Thanks the fans for coming out. Really helps our energy. Hopefully THEY"LL KEEP COMING OUT (hint!!!!)

Thanks for the post game summary. Speaking of crowd, it looked the students were having fun. What was the announced attendance? I am guessing 5500.

Conference games:

Weebs won by 2

ISU lost in OT to Pacific

Sac down 9 with 5 to go (sac led by as many as 12 in 2nd half....)

PSU down 6 v Idaho with 9 to go

Kitties embarrass the conference....
 
just got back....Griz played well on offense and left an easy 10 spot of the scoreboard, missed layups and Selvig missed some open threes that he normally knocks down. If the offense plays like that, Griz will be a tough out.

The reffing in the second half was horrid!!!! For both teams, just horrid.

I am at a loss for getting the crowd there....If this team doesn't bring em out, I don't know what the hell is going to. BRING BACK THE STUDENTS TO THEIR RIGHTFUL SEATS!!!! just fucking do it....

Also, I've decided that if a pass is made to a streaking player, and he is fouled, the passer should get an assist on the made free throws. Selvig would've had three more assists tonight.

Great passing tonight....very unselfish team.


Player of the Game goes to Stockton for getting in 5's face after he decked Selvig....no back down in that guy...I digz it.

The GRIZ will be losing some toughness and grit to graduation. Stockton and Steward are as tough, and gritty as you could want. Imagine if either were 6'8" plus, now that would be some serious intimidation and attitude.

Mick and Sundberg were kind of joking about that. They were saying the Hawai'i guy had to look WAY down to see Stocks when he got "in his face". :lol:

I laughed hearing that said by the young commentators on bigskytv. Funnier, they were on the same page as the veterans. :thumb:
 
attendance was 5009 (edited) - don't know if I agree with student section comment, they didn't look like they were that into the game, and there was room for more students in that section, but the crowd was a good warm-up for the next 3 games, let's hope.

I do agree the referees were clueless when it came to understanding what fouls to call and what to let go. The league's refs seem noticably worse the past 2-3 seasons.
 
Guess it's a good thing the Griz scored 94 tonight...the last time they gave up more than 79 they lost. :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Sounded like a good game. I have been checking BSTV's VOD to see if they have a replay yet. Sadly they do not. I really hope they don't crap out and not post the replay. I would love to see this one. If anyone notices if the replay comes up, let me know! Shame I had to go to a birthday party but glad to see they had a decent crowd for this one!
 
Northern Colorado had a nice win over Cal Poly, who beat USC this season and gave Long Beach State two tough games.

UNC has some nice talent. When that talent matures, look out. I like the future of this team.
