So the logic of the thread is we have a good stadium for an FCS team. What doesn't matter is NDSU's stadium is just as loud, they are a dynasty with a legitimate chance of winning 4 championships in a row, are the first and only FCS team to have College Gameday come to town... twice, are the only FCS team to have 5 wins in a row against FBS schools, and have put up the most dominating defensive statistics in FCS history.
But we've got a great stadium. Here's a refresher of what happened the last time they played in our fantastic stadium... as an aspiring FCS school:

NDSU deserves all the accolades and then some. You guys are just talking while the Bison have been doing the walking.

Basically, ESPN doesn't give a crap about who NDSU is playing. Incarnate Word and Montana are the exact same in ESPN's eyes, as long as with most of the people who watch Gameday. This isn't an insult to the Griz, it's just that NDSU is the one program in FCS that may attract some interest. NDSU not only plays teams from the Big Ten and Big 12, but they beat them. Meanwhile, the Griz and Kitties lose to low-tier FBS schools like Wyoming and Arkansas State. I doubt the NDSU game is even going to be televised on any of the ESPN networks, anyhow.
If the Griz had won the past three FCS titles, and had beaten teams like Kansas State in doing so, I'm guessing ESPN would be in Missoula, because the pre-game atmosphere for a Griz game is one-of-a-kind IMO. The tailgates are so close to the stadium, and the fans start partying EARLY, even for noon games.

Seriously? The Griz don't win because they have entitled and disrespectful fans? Umm, I doubt it. The fans show up and fill the stadium and that is really all they can do. The actual winning and losing is up to the people who play and coach the game.BornGrizz said:One of the reasons the Griz aren't that competitive anymore is because the minority of disrespectful fans that are inevitable with any program has grown to the point where we felt entitled to win.

I think WSU fans are the only people that watch, just so they can see the flag.AllWeatherFan said:Seriously, does anybody care if ESPN Game Day is in Fargo or Austin or Lincoln or South Bend or East Lansing? Who watches it? Twelve year olds?

Blasphemy!
I wake my hung-over ass up at 7:00 every Saturday to watch College Game Day. Nothing better to kick off college football on a Saturday.

Fair question, but would you care if it was in Missoula?

so you have never watched it in your life so you know you wouldn't enjoy it????? Give it a try before you assume it sucks!
I can honestly say I probably haven't watched 30 minutes of Game Day in 10 years, but I most assuredly would watch if it was being broadcast rom Missoula, just to see how we represented.AllWeatherFan said:AZGrizFan said:AllWeatherFan said:Seriously, does anybody care if ESPN Game Day is in Fargo or Austin or Lincoln or South Bend or East Lansing? Honestly, no. It would have no effect on me.
