Griz vs NAU

OL Jim Herrero, from NAU's Media Guide...
Height - 6.0
Weight - 240

Majoring in exercise science…2012: Named the team’s Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year.

If we can hold down the turnovers, and make NAU offense play on a long field, Griz win this going away -- 34-13. If we botch a punt or two, this becomes a different game.

Regardless of your opinion of the difficulty of the first 3 opponents, the Griz have proven to be playing at an elite level on both sides of the ball. While I don't expect 50+ point this week! the offense should prove to be too much over 4 quarters for NAU. Hopefully the Griz D can stuff Bauman and force turnovers behind their undersized O line and inexperienced QB

GRIZ - 41

Northern Arizona - 21

The http://www.nauathletics.com/sports/fball/2013-14/files/Game4_Montana_Notes.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has it somewhat differently. The starting lineup for the OL for NAU the last couple games has been:

RT Jacob Julian 6' 4" 297 RFreshman
RG Jim Herrero 6' 6" 225 (240 ?) So (SQ) (in place of R. Garcia who is now the starting center)
C Roy Garcia 6' 3" 275 Jr (in place of their first game starter Shane Moniz)
LG Eric Rodriguez 6' 3" 272 RFreshman
LT Kyle Walker 6' 4" 290 Senior

The backups are either sophomores that were on the Squad, didn't letter, or are redshirt freshman. Of their ten offensive linemen on their Depth Chart they have but one senior, one junior, four sophomores (three listed as SQ) and four redshirt freshmen.

NAU statistically has the best passing D in the nation thus far.

This game will definitely tell us if our O is as unstoppable as we think it is.
I'm expecting the D to remain stingy considering NAU's offensive struggles.

I'm hoping for a solid W agianst a top tier defense. We do that and this team is going places.

This. NAU has a good pass defense and is in top 20 in total defense. APP and ND are not even in the top 50 for total defense. This is going to be a good test for our offense. Could turn out to be two good defenses getting after it. However, with the balance and options the Griz have on offense, Griz by a comfortable 10 points.

Boy that's a tiny line! That's what most the Griz o-line came in weighing freshman year!

Went to the NAU board to see what their fans were thinking about this game.

There hasn't been a post since before the USD game. :?

So much for that idea.

On the bright side, the last post in the smack section was only back in August.

Of 2011. :o

Reminds me of EWU's board....

I hate to be the last one in the pool, but I am dead last. Move the chains.

After last years embarrassing loss to NAU the Griz come roaring out with a
big -------------------------- {Bloww Ouuuutt}---------------------------.

Griz-----40
Nau-----16

I will prefixe this by saying I was way off in my prediction for the UND game, I didn't give the Griz enough credit. My prediction is 30-17, good guys. Worst kicks 3 for 3 field goals.

Curious, are Grizo406 and emdiggy related   but thanks for chiming in. Without BW's scouting report and Grizo's game prediction everything's left up to chance. It's for certain we will win :thumb:
