Probably for the best for you. "Sports business" will be dominated by JD/MBAs though. Hopefully you are considereing both. But, do yourself a favor and just don't go if you can't get into the T14. It's a waste of money, and any success stories you hear are completely anecdotal. Good luck on that "sports business"
I'll be fine. Look at the avatar. I did that. At Montana. MONTANA. MON-TAN-A!!!!. AHAHAHA. Really. Hey, at least i'm not spending 80k+ to be a gold pro, right?

I'm sure you will be fine. Just stay out of any profession which requires mental capacity and cognitive ability to get paid.

I'm so proud of you for doing that at UM.

For the record, Lou was on full scholarship at Northwestern; I was not. And I'm sure he'd be very happy to pay any amount to be a gold pro. I would too.
CDA, you once said you were there when there were efforts to make basketball popular at UM, how did those go? Free giveaways? Cognitive ability, huh? You try leading an effort to get 1,000 students who really don't care about hoops into dahlberg on a friday night. Not only that, but designing and pitching a student shirt.

Well, I'm glad Northwestern gave him a degree he would not use. So, he got an undergrad scholarship to northwestern, THEN grad school at GU? (was that free too?) then golf pro? and his parents named him lucifer? either of you guys can answer this. just curious.

Maybe you should not belittle people for not using degrees before you even have one. Maybe you do not now the reasons for my being a golf pro. Maybe.

For the record, I never went to GU. I went to Michigan for undergrad, then NU for grad school. I was a midwest boy until I found my way to Spokane. I also found one HELL of a baskeball program.

I'll get the degree... a little bit early, actually. I must've misunderstood when CDA said he met you in the GU engineering grad program once. I don't know the reasons but choosing what's most fun is the best way out of shit... honest.

Midwestern myself having grown up in La Crosse, WI. Best midwestern state.

I don't know if it was you or CDA (think it was you) but i believe someone said they were fans before it was "one HELL of a basketball program."

Edit, somewhat on the subject: i think i'll try applying to Marquette for grad school.

I don't know what he told you, but we met in Evanston. GL at Marquette. What are you thinking about going for?

He said it in some thread.

Sports law or MBA in sports business. Considering settling for a plain law degree seeing as if you go through law school in WI and practice in WI, you don't have to take the bar.

Oh, you should talk to CDAGRIZ. He has an MBA and is thinking about entertainment law. He's kind of elitist when it comes to law schools though....

I'm picking up some kind of certificate in entertainment management. I have no idea what the f*ck that means. It's not a minor, it's a "certificate." Psh, i'll take a midwestern law school with a great hoops program over anything else.

But you give me all of this sh*t about being a golf pro? Marquette is substandard in law and basketball. Study for your test, and go to the best law school you can get into. Overall, rankings trump specialized prgrams anyday. If you want entertainment law, UCLA is the only place to go. You'll need about a 3.7 170 though.
